It’s happening! 🤩 We’re thrilled to be welcoming Expedition One today, a groundbreaking event exploring the future of sustainable entertainment. Our COO Kerry Villa (Mulloy) hosted a breakout session called ‘Cleaner Arena’ alongside Sam Booth Mike Green Claire O'Neill 🎤 The panel sparked a lively discussion throughout the audience around how we change behaviours throughout the live entertainment industry and what that change might look like for venues, audiences and suppliers alike. 🌍It’s been a month since our COO Kerry Villa (Mulloy) returned from an incredible trip to the U.S., joining Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region and other leaders from the Liverpool City Region to promote our area as a top destination for innovation, investment, and collaboration. This video highlights just how valuable the trip was and how much the group achieved. From Boston to New York, Kerry joined with colleagues to help showcase the region's strengths in life sciences, health innovation, and major events. Key highlights for Kerry included: ✅ Cultural Connections: Celebrated Liverpool’s ties with New York, from Beatles-themed events to discussions about Birkenhead Park’s inspiration for Central Park. These moments reaffirm the importance of transatlantic tourism and cultural exchange. ✅ The Power of Events: Kerry spent time meeting the Meet Boston team, who are a not-for-profit marketing and visitor services organisation focused on enhancing the economy of Boston. She met the teams who operate the Boston Convention Centre and the New York Javit Centre, sharing best practice and discussing the power of events, how events can create lasting legacies, reach diverse members of our communities, drive economic regeneration, and stimulate the visitor economy. ✅ Sports Tourism Growth: Collaborative discussions with Fenway Sports Group about leveraging their global reach to enhance Liverpool's profile as a premier events and tourism hub. Their support has already made waves, with major events like Taylor Swift's Anfield concerts generating millions for our local economy. With the U.S. already contributing £2.1bn in investment to our region, this mission reaffirmed the enormous potential for even greater partnerships.
