It's time again for another monthly wrap-up (Where has November gone! 🤯). Here's what we've been up to... This month, we proudly supported #Movember with a bake sale full of delicious treats, and a steps challenge to keep us moving (burning off all those cakes). 🧁 Of course, no Movember celebration would be complete without the impressive moustaches making their annual comeback—culminating in a prize for the most standout 'stache! 🏆 Movember is a cause close to our hearts, and we’re thrilled to have raised funds to support men’s health. A big thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making it a success! 🤩 This month, our teams hosted a variety of activities to connect and unwind. HR, Data, and Finance came together for their quarterly night out, while the Marketing team capped off a day of 2025 strategy and planning with a relaxing painting activity. 🎨 A big thank you to Emily Jackson from Cork&Canvas for running the class—it was a hit with the team! This month, we had an extra special guest in the office as part of our Dogs in the Office policy—Kaylee Cottam's adorable puppy, Minnie! She was an instant hit, spreading joy throughout the office and reminding us all why dogs truly are the best coworkers. 🐾💕 As November wrapped up, we also got a head start on the festive season by decorating our office Christmas tree. The holiday spirit is officially here! 🎄 Now let's talk team achievements... We marked some work anniversaries including Yasmin F. and Louis Taylor celebrating 1 year at AccessPay and Byron Kelly-Brandolani reaching the 5-year mark! And finally, our colleague of the month in November was Mohammed Sajjadul, with Rachael Hicketts (née Humphries) coming in as runner-up. Well done both! 🎉 That's all for November! AI has already had a profound effect on the sophistication and success of fraudsters. Deepfakes pose a particular threat. The ability to accurately render fake audio and visual files that mimic a person’s voice and image is concerning, as criminals already see so much success through even the most basic impersonation techniques. And whilst we can fight fire with fire, using the same AI technology to fuel advanced fraud detection, our best defence continues to be vigilance and process. ✅ Because even the most convincingly spoofed phone call from your CEO can’t pass muster after a quick phone call of your own to check its veracity. ✅ And even the best fake website, built by AI in seconds, cannot exist on the same URL of the real supplier – all you need do is look at the address. If you design robust processes and follow them every time, all the time, month-end or not – APP criminals cannot succeed.
