*The day is here!* The entire Ardnamurchan Distillery team is thrilled to launch our AD/ 10 Years Old, a release to celebrate our 10th anniversary of distilling Western Highland single malt on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. 🦅 🌊 🏔️ The entire batch is made up of unpeated spirit distilled during our first few months of production in 2014. Roughly half the casks used were transferred to Champagne Paul Launois barriques for just over a year prior to bottling at 50% ABV. 😋 Ripe tropical fruits, gingerbread, cedar, oily, waxy... we’re certainly tremendously happy with the result and hope you are too. 🥭 🫚 🍯 🕯️ There are 15,000 bottles of this unique release and we’ll be shipping throughout the UK and to our export partners abroad. Whisky and Watches meet as Marloe Watch Company launches its first limited edition collaboration with Ardnamurchan Distillery (Adelphi Distillery ltd) today, limited to 292 pieces.  🥃⌚️ Taking inspiration from  Ardnamurchan’s home of Glenbeg on the rugged coastline of Scotland, Marloe’s new Glenbeg Blue watch is designed to match the young distillery’s first 10-year-old single cask whisky, which are presented together in a true meeting of minds.  Designed in the UK and featuring a customised Swiss-made STP1-21 automatic movement, the design incorporates a custom Ardnamurchan Distillery rotor and colour-matched date wheel for a sleek,  subtle finish. ARDNAMURCHAN DISTILLERY TURNS TEN YEARS OLD!!! 🎂 🎈 🎁 🥳 What a decade it’s been. We started in style, with Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal making the trek up to Glenbeg to officially launch our voyage into the world of western Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky and a pretty special first cask courtesy of @glenfarclas. 6 years after our mashtun made the perilous journey along our now-infamous single-track roads, we launched our single malt… at the height of the COVID pandemic. Despite that, in the past four years we’ve launched several expressions of Ardnamurchan single malt, a pretty tasty blended Scotch, dozens of single casks to celebrate our many partners around the globe, and we’ve had a lot of fun doing it. Some highlights? How about: Launching in 45 markets across the globe. 🌎 😮 Now maturing close to 20,000 casks on-site across from Loch Sunart. 😴 Over 10,000 tonnes of renewably-sourced local wood chip fed into our bio-mass boiler to fuel our distillery. Our sales team’s several-hundred-kilometre trek from Adelphi HQ in Fife to the distillery. ⛰️ 🥾 🧭 Welcoming several new members into all four of our teams – Distillery, Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Visitor’s Centre. 😃 Countless laughs, good meals, and great drams had with all of you. 🙌 …and so many more. Here we are then. After a veritable swarm of guesses, we are delighted to reveal... The Midgie. 🪰 Did you know? 1. There are over 35 different species of biting midges in Scotland. 2. Scotland is home to around 180,750 trillion Highland midges. 3. Only the lassies bite. We are heralding the impending arrival of the most vicious of Highland creatures, the Midgie! We have collaborated with Smidge, the UK’s leading insect repellent, to bring you this dram. This year’s release is a UK only exclusive, 6200 bottles available, retailing at £52.00. The Midgie is a unique recipe for us, made up of a heady mix of Madeira and Sauternes barriques, with a Sherry butt and some Bourbon barrels in the vatting for balance and body. We have used peated and unpeated spirit in this whisky. Like all other releases, this is also blockchain enabled through a QR code on the back label.
