People Power wins in #Euston as digital billboards are replaced with departure display info boards 🙌 👏 https://lnkd.in/dVJgnMMT But how did we get here? Let's rewind... 🚂 In January 2024, Euston replaced a number of departures boards with massive #digital #billboards, prompting a huge backlash from angry passengers. 🚂Then in October, serious concerns about overcrowding on platforms forced then #Transport Secretary Louise Haigh to intervene. Haigh ordered the billboards switched off as part of a 5-point plan to improve the station. 🚂Now, the billboards are back, but as departure display boards once again. This is a huge win against the intrusion of digital advertising into public spaces. Fare-paying passengers deserve stations that put our safety, welfare and passenger experience first, not the endless demands of the advertising industry for our attention. But we want to go further... We're calling on Network Rail to review all digital ad screens at all their stations. If they're a problem at Euston, they're a problem everywhere.
