At The Royal Society Quantum Information Conference, our CEO Maksym Sich 🇺🇦 shared insights on scaling quantum computing. From showcasing a toy quantum device a decade ago to delivering Artemis, a real quantum computer, he highlighted how far the industry has come. Key Ingredients for Scale: → Hybrid Integration — Using the best semiconductor materials for each function → Foundry Manufacturing — High-volume, high-quality production → Connectivity — Seamless networking and modular design → Computational Speed — Fast clock cycles for high-performance processing → Robustness — Hardware designed for real-world deployment Photons are the most stable qubits and power the backbone of the internet across fibre networks. By leveraging quantum dots in semiconductors—compatible with telecom—we have a path to generate high-speed, deterministic photonic qubits, essential for scaling to commercially useful system sizes. Our Artemis quantum computer, soon to be delivered to the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC), is built for efficiency, compatibility, and scale. Next, we’re developing fully integrated photonic chips to support larger networked systems. As Maksym said: "Let’s move humanity beyond the limits of digital technology." #Aegiq #RoyalSociety #QuantumComputing #Photonics #Innovation

Scott Dufferwiel, our Co-founder & CTO, attended the APPG for Semiconductors Parliamentary Reception, bringing together industry, academia, and government to discuss the future of the UK’s semiconductor sector. It was also a pleasure to meet Abtisam Mohammed, Labour MP for Sheffield Central. Collaboration between technology companies and policymakers is key to driving innovation and strengthening the UK’s position in advanced fields like quantum and semiconductors! #Aegiq #UKTech #TechInnovation #QuantumTechnology
A fantastic evening at the APPG for Semiconductors Parliamentary Reception! Chaired by Ruth Jones MP, the event saw an outstanding turnout from industry leaders, academia, and policymakers—all united in championing the UK’s semiconductor sector. We were delighted to welcome representatives from KLA, Plessey Semiconductors Ltd,Vishay Intertechnology, Inc., CSconnected, The Bessemer Society, Silicon Catalyst.UK, The University of Sheffield, UtterBerry LTD, Seagate Technology, University of Cambridge, Oxford Instruments plc, Leonardo, Queen's University Belfast, Infinitessima Ltd, Microwave Inspection Technologies, Swansea University, IQE, TechWorks, Octric Semiconductors Ltd, Compound Semiconductor Applications (CSA) Catapult, Porotech, Finchetto, Paragraf, National Wealth Fund, Aegiq, National Epitaxy Facility and many more. A special thank you to the 30 MPs and Peers who attended, including Alan Strickland MP and Catherine Fookes MP, whose constituencies rely on the supply of semiconductors or are home to key industry activity. The Minister for AI, Feryal Clark, reaffirmed DSIT’s commitment to supporting and strengthening the UK semiconductor industry. We also welcomed Lord Faulkner the Trade Envoy to Taiwan, our officers Matt Western MP and Gurinder Josan MP, Chris McDonald MP, Chair of the DESNZ Committee Bill Esterson MP, John Goodenough from the Semiconductors Advisory Panel in DSIT and Drew Nelson, OBE chairman of the APPGs Advisory Board. Semiconductors are the underpinning technology behind all eight growth sectors highlighted in the UK Industrial Strategy—from AI and quantum computing to advanced manufacturing and life sciences. Their role in driving innovation, economic growth, and technological sovereignty cannot be overstated. The APPG will continue championing the economic significance of semiconductors, highlighting the creation of six additional jobs across the economy for every direct job in semiconductor manufacturing. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in driving this vital sector forward. If the success of the evening is anything to go by, there is clear appetite from MPs and peers to make the semiconductor industry an integral focus of UK policymaking. The APPG made a significant stride yesterday to raising awareness among parliamentarians, which is one of the Group's key workstreams. The APPG hopes to organise many more of these events in the future. If you’d like to learn more about our work or explore ways to support the Group’s efforts, please visit our official website for more information and enquiries. https://lnkd.in/ezh77svG Let’s keep the momentum going! 🚀💡🔬

How can we efficiently control quantum systems without needing additional control terms? In a new paper, Dr Callum Duncan, Senior Quantum Applications Scientist at Aegiq, introduces CAFFEINE (Counterdiabatic-influenced Floquet-engineering)—a novel quantum control method. CAFFEINE optimises rapidly oscillating drives to enforce adiabatic evolution, enabling better quantum annealing, adiabatic pulses, and state preparation. It could also offer a new way to probe quantum geometry and chaos! The paper is now live on arXiv: https://lnkd.in/egR_YgJE #Aegiq #arXiv #QuantumTechnologies #Innovation
