It’s been a busy year for Age UK Hull & East Yorkshire, and this Christmas has been our busiest yet! 🎅 We’re incredibly grateful for all the support we’ve received throughout the year. Together, we’ve been able to spread joy and make a real difference to older people in our community. Here is our Festive Round-Up, celebrating all that we’ve achieved together this festive season! Ain’t no Christmas party like an Age UK HEY Christmas party! We had our first Christmas party today at the New walton club in Hull and everyone had an amazing time. There was fun, laughter, dancing and a few happy tears. We love these events as you see firsthand, what a positive impact our support has. A big thank you to the volunteers from KCOM who helped us run this event.

Five Houses, One Team. 🎄🎁 As a House Team we asked each Tutor Group to bring gifts and presents in to create shoeboxes for Ageuk. We had over 25 boxes filled. A fantastic showing of community from Wolfreton School during this festive period.

We have beaten our 1000 Christmas Shoe Box Hamper target!!! We are blown away by the response. Thank you everyone for your support! We are running on Christmas spirit here in our office thanks to all of these amazing Christmas Shoe Box Hamper donations! 🎁 Deliveries are underway this week and next to over 1000 older people in the community.

Operation Shoe Box is underway!🎄🎁 Our Fundraising Coordinator, Kayleigh, and Support Service Assistant, Ben, delivered festive joy to Ward 80 at Hull Royal Infirmary yesterday morning, dropping off 30 shoeboxes to the ward! A heartfelt thank you to Jodie, Lauren, and Brian from KCOM for kicking off our festive deliveries this morning—they truly brightened the day and brought smiles to so many faces! 

Part 1 of playing Santa 🤶 for Age UK Hull & East Yorkshire today, collecting 65 fabulous shoeboxes from #BarclaysHull and delivering them to Natalie Spikings and her busy elves at the Age UK headquarters in Hull. Cant wait for part 2 on Thursday when i load my sleigh and deliver these gifts to the elederly in the local area.

We would like to share a HUGE thank you to Dunelm Beverley and Dunelm Hull. Each Dunelm store put present tags on their store Christmas Tree for the public to pick and buy gifts for our clients. The response has been overwhelming and we are so thankful to these stores and the public for donating such gorgeous gifts 🎁 We have had donated in total over 150 gifts! Just amazing 🤩 Thank you so much for your generosity!

We are pleased to share that our Diamond Jubeelee Ball raised a staggering £15,763.15 Wow!! This is an amazing amount and we are so grateful to everyone who supported us to make this event such a success. We would like to thank Gary Jennison for being a super host, Miss Fanny for being fabulous and the Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel for being a great venue. A big thank you to Clay10 Creative for supporting us with filming our wonderful videos and Scribes Digital Print Ltd for providing us with lovely printed materials.
