This will involve getting to know the local neighbourhood and networking with other public and voluntary organisations. 🎄Last week Alchemab Therapeutics Ltd staff generously donated a mountain of gifts for older people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. 🚚The gifts are currently being delivered to grateful recipients. On September 19th, a team of volunteers from AstraZeneca attended the Cherry Trees Day Centre and undertook the following tasks to ensure the garden and courtyard was safe and inviting for Day Centre attendees to use. 🖌️ Repainting the metal rails in the courtyard 🐦 Some TLC for the bird table and benches 🪴 Tidying up pots and beds in the courtyard 🪑 Cleaning the patio furniture 🧱 Some rebuilding work of the brick planter walls 🪴 Bulb planting for Spring The day was arranged and made possible by contacts at Employee Volunteering who very kindly purchased the bulbs, paint and compost needed for the day along with providing supervision of the Volunteers. #CommunityEngagement #communitysupport #charity #charitywork #ageukcap #ageuk #AstraZeneca

🎅Local villages North of Peterborough hosted a Christmas lunch and fun afternoon for over 70 older people.
