Yesterday’s Social Care Day of Action in Westminster, led by Providers Unite, sent a clear message: urgent reform is needed. We stand with care providers across the country in calling on the government to address the growing situation in social care. With the Autumn Budget changes taking effect in April, the rising living wage and employer National Insurance contributions will place even more pressure on a sector already struggling to meet the true cost of care. Whilst we welcome the long overdue recognition of care workers, this can only be achieved through sustainable funding. We applaud the Homecare Association for its tireless advocacy in pushing the government to properly fund social care. It’s time for action. Social care deserves better.
💚 THANK YOU! 💚 To everyone who joined us yesterday, whether in Westminster or online, thank you. Every step we took, every voice that spoke out, and every story shared helped send a clear message: social care matters, and we will not be ignored. From care providers and frontline staff to families, advocates, and those who simply care about a fairer future, this movement is powered by you! 💚 Thank you for marching. 💚 Thank you for sharing your stories. 💚 Thank you for standing united for change. Yesterday was a powerful moment, but this is just the beginning. We will keep fighting for the recognition, funding, and reform that social care deserves. 📸 If you took part, share your photos and experiences using #ValueSocialCare #ProvidersUnite—let’s show just how strong this movement is! Together, we are making a difference. 💚 Katrina Hall Nadra Ahmed CBE DL 💚 Care England National Care Association Independent Care Group The National Autistic Society The Care Provider Alliance ARC England; Association for Real Change ARCO (Associated Retirement Community Operators) Homecare Association Rt Hon Rachel Reeves The Rt.
