We’re proud to celebrate the remarkable work of MDT A/S in 3D printing this impressive pavilion.  I AM MSHRM is a collaborative effort between Danish AM Hub , MDT A/S, Naturpladen , and BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group architects and engineers. The I AM MSRHM pavilion features a modular system of 16 arches, each arch is composed of 11 unique #3Dprinted panels manufactured using Aibuild software to expertly control the robotic arms. These panels incorporate a custom pattern designed to allow mycelium, grown and baked by Naturpladen, to thrive. This bio-based #material enhances durability and sustainability while eliminating the need for traditional screws and scaffolding. This project is a testament to how additive manufacturing can reduce waste and reimagine #building materials for a circular future. It is a true demonstration of the power of collaboration between innovative partners to integrate cutting edge technology with sustainable design, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in construction. Fantastic weekend in Manchester exhibiting our machine and giving a presentation on 5-axis 3D printing at the Sanjay Mortimer Foundation RepRap festival. This was our first exhibition with the generative machine project and it's fair to say that the concept of self designing machines is most certainly a talking point. For those that missed the event we were running a live demo of the Aibuild slicer on our Generation2 desktop open-source 5-axis 3D printer which will be launching in the new year. Amongst other things this weekend, it was very cool to share a stand with the YouTube 3D printing sensation Jón Schone and also share some of our new work using Duet3D closed-loop control and metal AM. Thanks to Duet3D for the invitation, E3D, Aibuild, Autodesk, and also to Filamentive for supplying top quality recycled filaments. Discover The Making of Crystalline, an illuminated art installation by multidisciplinary artist and architect Sofia Hagen. Standing 2.7 meters tall made from recycled rPETG, Crystalline was produced by MDT A/S using Aibuild software to expertly control their robotic arm #3Dprinters. MDT A/S perfectly controlled every detail of the 3D printing process, capturing the unique translucency and texture of natural salt crystals. Crystalline blends advanced technology with art, it’s an embodiment of how LFAM can bring creative visions to life while promoting sustainable practices.
