The Air Accidents Investigation Branch investigates civil aircraft accidents and serious incidents within the United Kingdom, its overseas territories and crown dependencies. It is also the Space Accident Investigation Authority for the United Kingdom. The AAIB is a branch of the Department for Transport and is based in Aldershot, Hampshire.

A report has been published into a serious incident where a Boeing 737-8200 (EI-HET) undertook a go-around which was followed by level bust and loss of control, London Stansted Airport on 4 December 2023 This serious incident serves as an important reminder for flight crew to share their mental model throughout all phases of flight so that if there is a discrepancy this can be discussed in good time so prompt action can be taken to resolve any issues. https://lnkd.in/evkdK4sZ #Aviation #AviationSafety #CommercialAirTransport
