About us
Come and Learn to Fly or take a trial lesson with the south of England’s longest-running, trusted and premier flight school – AirBourne Aviation Ltd. We have been teaching pilots since 1980 and offer full in-house NPPL training, including all your exams, which is the cheapest way to get your wings and has the shortest training requirement, but it does come with restrictions. As the name suggests, it is a national licence and is only valid for VFR flights within the UK.

Exciting announcement! Two new instructors have joined Airbourne - Martin, who will be covering weekends, and Tracy who will be flying with us on Thursdays and Fridays. Martin, a qualified flying instructor and GR (Ground and Revalidation) examiner says "I’m passionate about sharing my love of aviation and helping others discover the thrill and freedom that flying offers. Whether you’re flying for fun or pursuing a dream, I’m here to help you every step of the way". Tracy's passion for flying began at 13 with the Air Cadets and she was awarded a University Cadetship as one of the first of the new generation of female pilots in the RAF, gaining her RAF Pilot Wings at RAF Valley. She has the following qualifications: RAF QFI (Fixed Wing), NPPL(A) FI, ATPL(A) and MEP (Lapsed).
