Digital accelerates 100,000 safeguarding actions in Kent  The Kent School Health team, part of Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, works with children, adolescents and families across Kent, with responsibility for approximately 300,000 children and 600 schools across the region. Its digitisation to support safeguarding has seen a 130% increase in child safety through improved assessment completion rates—empowering professionals to intervene early and effectively. Digitise to Prevent Safeguarding Tragedies 🙏 The heartbreaking case of Sara Sharif reminds us of the urgent need to do more to protect our children. More than 480 children were involved in serious incidents last year - each one a devastating story of missed opportunities. Alongside the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill which will be introduced into Parliament on Tuesday, significant efforts are being made to modernise and digitise data collection and safeguarding processes within children's social care. Yet today, the majority of Councils, Schools and Integrated Care Boards still run safeguarding assessments using paper forms, or systems that don’t talk to each other.   What’s stopping us?
