  • Over 900 AI-powered healthcare tools have already received FDA approval, highlighting the growing demand for innovation in medical diagnostics and patient care. With increasing pressure on healthcare systems, new solutions are essential to improve efficiency and outcomes. AI is transforming healthcare by streamlining processes, providing real-time data analysis, and supporting clinical decision-making. This technology helps healthcare providers detect conditions faster, personalize treatments, and reduce the strain on overworked medical staff. Nvidia and Aidoc, an AI startup, have partnered to introduce the BRIDGE program, a framework aimed at helping healthcare professionals leverage AI systems. Aidoc is a leader in this space, developing tools to assist radiologists and clinicians in analyzing medical data efficiently. Nvidia, based in California, is a global leader in AI hardware and software, further solidifying this collaboration. #ai #healthcare #medtech #healthtech

50% of engineers’ time is spent on creating technical documentation, a critical but often tedious task that delays product launches. This inefficiency highlights the urgent need for solutions that can streamline the documentation process and speed up time-to-market. AI-powered platforms like Driver are stepping in to solve this problem by automating technical documentation. Driver’s platform cuts documentation time by up to 90%, reducing a process that traditionally takes three months to just two hours. This enables engineers to focus on their core work, drastically improving product development timelines. Driver, has secured $8 million in seed funding to expand its AI-powered documentation platform. With GV (Google Ventures) leading the round and support from Y Combinator, the company is primed to revolutionize industries dealing with complex technical systems, like semiconductors, by making documentation faster and more accurate. #VentureCapital #AI #Tech #Automotive Read more: https://lnkd.in/drYumWMA

Data centers consumed 460 terawatt hours of electricity in 2022, almost 2% of global electricity consumption. This rising demand for data, driven by AI and high-performance computing, is creating significant environmental challenges, with traditional cooling methods proving inefficient and unsustainable. Reducing the energy and water consumption of these facilities has become a critical issue as the world increasingly relies on digital infrastructure. AI is at the heart of many industries, but it requires immense data processing power, which leads to high energy use. To tackle this, AI can help optimize energy-efficient technologies like liquid immersion cooling by managing workloads and temperature more effectively, minimizing waste, and improving overall system performance. Submer, a Barcelona-based company, is addressing this challenge through its proprietary immersion cooling technology. Established in 2015, the company provides a waterless, energy-efficient solution that reduces the environmental footprint of data centers. With a recent $55.5M growth round led by M&G, Submer is set to expand its presence in the US and APAC regions. • With 45% of mental health professionals reporting burnout, according to the American Psychological Association, the growing demand for mental health services is pushing therapists to their limits. Beyond providing care, many therapists spend hours on administrative tasks like transcribing session notes and managing electronic health records (EHR), leaving less time for patient care. AI is stepping in to ease this burden, offering automated solutions that streamline administrative workflows. By using AI to handle notetaking and other paperwork, mental health professionals can spend more time focusing on their patients, reducing the risk of burnout and improving the quality of care. Enter YUNG Therapist Sidekick, a Miami-based AI-powered platform dedicated to simplifying the lives of mental health professionals. Founded in 2022, the company has already processed over 30,000 therapy sessions, helping therapists reclaim valuable time by automating session documentation and transcribing notes within minutes. With its recent $825K pre-seed funding, Yung Sidekick is poised to further enhance its offerings. Read more: https://lnkd.in/dcPqUW9j #MentalHealth #AI #Miami #Healthcare #Innovation

  • Running injuries are a common challenge for both amateur and professional runners, with nearly 50% experiencing some form of injury each year. Traditional solutions, like physiotherapy sessions and personal trainers, are often expensive and inaccessible, while static training plans fail to adapt to individual needs, increasing the risk of injury. AI offers a way to bridge this gap by delivering personalized, dynamic training plans that adjust to a runner’s fitness level, progress, and injury risk in real time. By utilizing AI, athletes can access expert-level coaching and injury prevention strategies without the high costs of personal trainers or physiotherapists. Exakt Health, a Berlin-based healthtech company, is off to a running start with successful closing of its seed funding to provide AI-driven digital sports physiotherapy to prevent and treat running injuries. The company’s solutions are certified as medical devices, and its AI-powered running plans offer personalized guidance to runners of all levels, ensuring smarter, safer training. • Seeing is not necessarily believing. Every day, an estimated 15,000 deepfakes are generated, contributing to growing concerns over the authenticity of digital content. Deepfakes and other AI-generated manipulations pose risks to individuals, organizations, and society at large. The irony is that only AI can help solve this problem created by AI. It offers the potential to solve these issues by detecting and identifying fake content before it spreads. AI start-up, IdentifAI’s innovative deepfake detection technology is helping address these concerns. The Milan-based start-up specializes in distinguishing between AI-created and human-crafted content, contributing to a more transparent and secure information environment. • Tech giant Google Research working alongside Indian AI start-up Swaasa® - By Salcit Technologies is pushing the boundaries of healthcare by leveraging AI to use sound to diagnose respiratory diseases such as tuberculosis (TB) which kills over 4,500 people every day according to the World Health Organization. Challenge is that remote villages don't have access to X-rays typically used to diagnose TB but now with the help of AI, doctors could simply use an app to screen for respiratory diseases with just a 10-second cough sample. It's like a blood test but using sound instead of blood. Of course, there are challenges to overcome, like convincing doctors to adopt new methods and dealing with background noise in audio samples. But despite these hurdles, this innovative approach has the potential to revolutionize how we diagnose and treat diseases, particularly in areas with limited resources. At AIXCS, we are investing in AI-powered ventures across healthcare, sustainability, and cybersecurity.
