With Christmas fast approaching, we at the Shots Foundation and Aldershot Town Football Club, are prepared for a busy festive period. Christmas is a special time of year, but for many it’s a difficult period, whether that’s due to the financial strain it brings, health issues or other adversities. We want to help; this is why we have a number of community initiatives taking place this Christmas. We are supporting our local foodbank this Christmas, and we need your help! So many families struggle to put food on the table all year round, let alone at Christmas time. So, we are organising a food collection for the Community Grub Hub before the fixture vs Halifax Town on Saturday 14th December. For more information on how to donate, click the link below. Once again, this year we will be making toy donations to local hospitals, Frimley Park and Royal Surrey County. There are many children who won’t spend this Christmas at home, but rather in hospital. We want to do our part to bring the children in our local hospitals some festive cheer this Christmas. This year we will run our second Veterans Christmas Lunch at the football club, and we will be offering a free two-course Christmas meal to up to 60 military veterans as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting our military community. Aldershot Town Academy are pleased to announce a collaborative partnership with Activate Learning and Merrist Wood College for the 2025-2026 academic year. Aldershot Town Academy and Activate Learning will be running two full-time football and education courses in collaboration from September 2025. The first is an under 18 girls programme, whilst the second is an under 18s boys programme. Both groups will engage in full-time education with the college, with the boys specifically studying a BTEC in Sport qualification, alongside regular timetabled training from Aldershot Town Academy coaching staff and a weekly games programme on Wednesday afternoons. Mascot packages are available for our Remembrance fixture against Wealdstone on Saturday, 9th November! The game has been selected by DAZN and the Vanarama National League for enhanced coverage and will be shown live on DAZN channels and streaming services to over 200 countries. Being our Remembrance fixture, this game is also a hugely important part of the calendar for Aldershot Town Football Club as we look to pay a fitting tribute to remember those who have died in service of our country. We're looking to get a full house of mascots for this occasion and can offer deals for those who have already been a mascot and own the kit.
