Accelerate: Tech Edition is SOLD OUT! 🚀 In the tech industry, 50% of women drop out by the time they turn 35—a phenomenon we call the missing middle. Too many talented women disappear from leadership pipelines, held back by self-doubt, bias, and a lack of role models. That’s why we launched Accelerate: Tech Edition—a game-changing programme designed to empower mid-level women in tech to break through these barriers and thrive. With expert-led masterclasses, group coaching, and invaluable networking with industry leaders, participants will gain the tools to overcome imposter syndrome, tackle bias, and lead with confidence. With companies like Bupa and Loaf (Loaf.com) on board, this sold-out programme proves the demand for real change in tech leadership. Missed out on signing up for this cohort? Don’t worry, you can still join our waitlist to be the first to hear about our upcoming programmes: https://lnkd.in/eyU3APF6

If your new year’s resolution involves taking your finances more seriously, this is the year to do it. We’re in the throes of a massive general wealth transfer. “Women are controlling more and more global wealth,” said Ida Liu, the Global Head of Citi Private Bank. Yet a recent report found that nearly twice as many women (29%) save less than £100 each month versus 15% of men and only 17% of women feel confident about achieving their long-term financial goals compared to 29% of men. Alyssa Jaffer investigates why this is and how to close that gap: https://lnkd.in/eV2ZbpSU

As part of a new duty under the 2010 Equality Act, employers will be required to take “reasonable steps” to prevent the sexual harassment of their employees. But despite the positivity and progress that such legislation indicates, we are still fighting against cultural norms that normalise such behaviour and abuse. A 2023 poll found that 2 in 3 young women reported that they had experienced sexual harassment, bullying or verbal abuse at work. “Companies need to move away from the idea that policies alone solve the problem. True change happens when employees and leaders alike understand the human impact of harassment and are committed to preventing it," says Sharon Gaffka, violence against women and girls (VAWG) activist.
