That’s why A2i is building a first of its kind Defence Technology Platform to help unite and empower a dynamic but fragmented European industrial base. Purpose built for Europe and NATO needs and scalable globally, where A2i succeeds, we stand to radically improve the way the democratic world develops and procures the technology solutions critical to our long term security and prosperity.
As part of our current efforts we are running hard at solving an urgent problem in support of a vital mission and we’re recruiting the final members of a world-class team-of-teams to build a novel solution in record time.
We need a wide range of skillsets spanning ‘expert generalist’ to ‘deep specialist’. We’d love you to have a passion and flair for your field whether that’s programme management, operations, cyber security or supply chains, scale up manufacturing or global logistics. We need data scientists as much as we need rocket scientists, awesome engineers and rock star developers; defence, dual-use and deeptech ninjas. All we ask is that you can evidence a commitment to personal or professional excellence and experience of delivering real things in the real (or virtual) world.
Dom Cummings might have called you ‘misfits and weirdos’. We don’t care if you’re weirdly ordinary or ordinarily weird. We don’t care if you work for a major defence contractor or a tiny start up, a major government department or just yourself. We just need you to care deeply about Euro-Atlantic security, be exceptional at what you do and be willing to work extremely hard under significant uncertainty alongside a disparate group of other mission-minded makers from around the world.
To be eligible for selection you must be able to work with us full time for 6 months from 1st February. What we’re building matters, so if you’re successful we’re confident your bosses would want to support a sabbatical or secondment with our ‘team of teams’. It could be brilliant for their business too. We will also be recruiting a small number of strategic and technical advisors so if you can’t commit 6 months full time, look out for other ways to help.
