📻 Podcast Feature: A Journey Through Generations 📻 We are very excited to announce a sit-down between Akina Ho, our Co-founder of AllStarsWomen DAO, and Gordon Einstein Eistein from #Dubai for a truly special #podcast episode. This interview is unlike any other, as it is one of the most personal conversations Akina has ever had. In this episode, Gordon showcases his magic in bringing out stories that are buried deep and sometimes forgotten. Akina had the opportunity to share the remarkable journey of her father, who was kidnapped from China by the Japanese and brought to Vietnam during a tumultuous time in history – #WorldWarII. Despite facing unimaginable challenges, he not only survived but also built a successful business in Vietnam, using most of his money to build schools and fund local children to learn the beautiful Chinese language. After the Vietnam War, he made the courageous decision to move the family to the USA, seeking a better future. Akina shared that her journey was shaped by his resilience and determination. From her early days in school to her first work experiences, every step has led her to follow her heart. This led her to many different industries and finally to Hong Kong, where she has been involved in various endeavors despite coming to Hong Kong against her family’s wishes. 🌟 Hmmm....My Visit To Thailand’s 1st AI Enabled Factory for MIDEA Group 🌟 Have you heard of MIDEA Group? If not, how about GE and #Whirlpool? Well, their refrigerators, dishwashers, HVAC systems, and other home appliances are designed and manufactured by Midea. In 2023 alone, Midea sold over 593 million units of #homeappliances! Since 2019, Midea Group has been at the forefront of technological innovation. The company has piloted #5G + Industry #IoT applications in its manufacturing bases since 2021. So when the Thai government's Economic Development Plan focusing on digitalization and innovation, particularly in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), Midea decided their next AI driven factory will be there. It was a challenge, as #Thailand at that time has no expertise, no experience, and no proper equipment to build a top 5G AI enabled factory. China Unicom had to move a whole team over to educate, trained and create together with Thailand’s largest GMS mobile operator, #AIS , their 1st robotic driven factory based on Wi-Fi connection. A mistake that cost them dearly. There are many disruptions from the heart of the system to the #robotic hands and feet on the ground. That affected the entire production output as the assembly line were paused and even stopped. They needed 5G technologies and they are missing Huawei! Huawei came and provided the most powerful 5G equipment to comprehensively complete the project. This enabled new production factors to enable intelligent production and digital O&M, and solve the offline interference problem of mobile devices. The new 5G setup created the following that changed the whole productions: 1.    #5G #Robotic Arm. 2.    #5G #Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV): Traditional AGVs mainly rely on preset routes and physical markers for navigation, which to some extent limits their application scope and capabilities. However, 5G technology gives AGVs stronger data processing and communication capabilities, allowing them to dynamically plan optimal paths by collecting and analyzing environmental data in real time, greatly improving their flexibility and ability to cope with complex environments. 3.    #5G Operating room： Each air conditioner assembly line is equipped to simulate and test the operating status of outdoor compressors. 4.    #5G Data Collection: 5G features collect the running status, parameters, and output information of production devices in the factory in real time, and monitor and analyze the collected data. This project made me realized that we are still very early in fully understanding, knowing, and leveraging 5G technologies with AI abilities to enhance our current ‘way of working’. Yes, soon, it will move into impacting our lives. So much work to be done and learn, and yet, we have little time to really do it properly. So, the only way is to learn and pivot as we create, build, use, and improve along with very innovative companies like Huawei! 💫

Being invited as a keynote speaker at one of Huawei's largest #AI conferences in Bangkok made me realize how early we are in leveraging true AI technologies to create impactful applications and usage! 🎤 My presentation wasn't deeply technical, unlike those of the other keynote speakers from Huawei's executive teams, strategic partners and customers, who shared the latest AI infrastructure and enabling technologies. My goal was to unveil why suddenly Google, Amazon, and Microsoft released their #GenAI solutions after 6 months ChatGPT went live! Their actions have opened a can of possibilities that is far beyond our imaginations. This pushed others to share their proprietary AI technologies for the world to ‘develop’ solutions and businesses that will revolutionize our lives and disrupt existing norms in businesses.  As samples of what can happen, I was thrilled to showcase 5 different leading #AI and #3D technology concepts and companies, and 3 of them happens to be from our Pi Labs portfolio—Bright Spaces, Contilio, and Untap Health —demonstrating how they will disrupt our current understanding of what's possible. For example, Bright Spaces challenged the restrictions of information and the ability to find, create designs, and execute layouts for spaces within hours instead of weeks. The event had a global audience comprising customers, partners, government leaders, and Huawei executives. It was incredibly satisfying to see them all acknowledge the potential of the 5 concepts I have shared that will be disrupting existing practices and creating new possibilities.
