  • Our GameChangers celebrations continue as we near The National Lottery’s 30th Birthday, reflecting on the impact of their endeavours and how they’re inspiring future generations.    Unveiled by national broadcasting legend Clare Balding, new artworks based on poems by the talented Robert Montgomery celebrate seven GameChangers who have each helped change the face of UK sport:   - Paul Sinton-Hewitt - Alice Dearing OLY - Stephen Jones - Damian Kennedy - Steven Tigg - Baroness Sue Campbell - Dame Sarah Storey The artwork is being exhibited at four sports venues across the UK - London’s Wembley Stadium, the University of Stirling’s swimming pool, Principality Stadium in Cardiff, and Ulster Boxing High Performance Centre.    Since the first draw in 1994, The National Lottery has raised over £49 billion for Good Causes and awarded over 690,000 individual grants to projects and organisations, making a huge difference to local communities.    #NationalLottery30 #GoodCauses #GameChangers

  • As we continue on our retail transformation journey, we're excited to share that, for the first time ever, National Lottery games will be available to purchase at all Aldi UK self-checkouts across UK stores.   This will see Lucky Dip tickets for Lotto, EuroMillions, Thunderball and Set For Life games available from the self-checkout touchscreens, while those with a National Lottery Fast Pay card can easily self-scan to generate their bespoke tickets.   This advancement will make it even easier for shoppers to conveniently pick up their tickets while shopping, and is the result of massive collaboration by the teams at both Allwyn UK and Aldi.

  • We reached our first anniversary as operator of The National Lottery this month! The past 12 months have been jam-packed with key success across core business areas – from excellence across operations and retailers, participant protection, innovation, and Social Value activity. Our favourite highlights include: - Achieving a score of over 93% for player satisfaction - £1 billion paid out in high-tier prizes to over 780 winners - The successful running of over 660 draws And to top it all off, we also celebrated The National Lottery’s 30th Birthday and brought its true purpose to life during Paris 2024. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2025. #OneYear #Anniversary #TheNationalLottery

  • Yesterday marked Love Your Pet Day – and what better way to celebrate than reflecting on some of The National Lottery’s Good Cause initiatives.   Thanks to the efforts of a team of winners who spent a day building and decorating animal shelters owned by Lucky Ewe, a National Lottery-funded organisation in Fife, sheep and alpacas have had a much toastier winter this year.   As well as providing for the animals, the project gives young Scottish people with additional support needs hands-on experience of farming and animal husbandry, allowing them to get qualifications and potentially paid work.   Libby Elliot from Fife, who won £2.2 million on Lotto, was one of the winners helping out, who highlighted how ‘young people are able to learn so much and develop their confidence before going on to pursue their careers, which otherwise may not have been possible for them’.   As operator, we're proud to facilitate these initiatives which get bigger and better every time players purchase a ticket – not just for people, but for animals and pets too!   #LoveYourPetDay #GoodCauses #TheNationalLottery

  • As we look to innovate for the future as part of our ongoing work to transform The National Lottery, we're excited to reveal that we've just started trialling innovative Scratchcard retail technology at an Asda store in Ashton-under-Lyne.   Our new SciQ retail ecosystem Scratchcard dispenser by SCIENTIFIC GAMES uses data, digital screens, and special software to take the Scratchcard sales experience to a whole new level for both players and retailers. It also has a built-in 10-Scratchcard limit which automatically prevents more than 10 cards being sold per transaction.   This exciting piece of technology marks the first big change to how Scratchcards are bought and sold in 30 years and we're really excited by its potential.    Read more here: https://shorturl.at/y2gs3   #Allwyn #Asda #ScientificGames #NationalLotteryScratchcards
