Those of you who have worked with Analytics Engines or attended Big Data Belfast may have come across the exceptional Maureen McCauley. For the last 10 years, Maureen has brought order, a welcoming environment, and the occasional plate of homebaked treats to the office, and for all of her hard work and dedication, we thank her. Sadly for us, Maureen has decided the time has come to spend more time with her family and passions, hanging up her proverbial boots. Her positive attitude and joyful demeanour will be greatly missed, but we wish her all the best in her retirement. As we bid farewell to Maureen, we are also excited to announce that we are hiring to fill her position. Great to be involved at the Momentum One Zero hosted AIMday Predictive Health Analytics 2024, in Riddel Hall, Queen's University Belfast. My colleague Naoimh Ledwith from Analytics Engines and fellow panelists, discussed GenAI being effectively integrated into healthcare processes to enhance patient care, streamline medical workflows, and support clinical decision-making. Excited for Analytics Engines to be part of the Software NI Working Groups to help drive a vision for 50,000 jobs and £5bn GVA by 2035. In working with companies across the region to adopt data and AI technologies, we see the need for skilled individuals and an ecosystem of companies to drive the development and adoption of these technologies. Thanks to Neil Hutcheson and Mark McCormack and the SNI Board (including our own NED Aislinn Rice) for leading the sessions as well as our very own Michael McCloskey who is leading the Sales and Scale working group and Jordan McDonald contributing to the Sector Futures group. It is great to have a group of like-minded individuals collaborating for the good of NI!
