Stephen Strong is a name that says it all. As co-founder of Anchor Leg, he’s not just a leader—he’s the heart and soul of the business. A true man of the people, Steve has an extraordinary ability to connect with anyone, leaving a lasting impression wherever he goes. His energy is infectious, and his optimism is a force—he sees a world full of possibilities, and that perspective inspires us all to think bigger. Steve doesn’t just talk the talk; he knows what matters most to our clients, cutting through the noise to deliver what truly counts. He’s the trusted partner you can always rely on. Steve’s passion for sport is woven into the fabric of Anchor Leg. Whether introducing us to rising rugby talent or sharing stories from the latest match he’s attended, he keeps us on the pulse of what’s happening. Just know he’s already planning his sports calendar for 2026—try to keep up. But it’s not all business with Steve. He’s the glue that brings us together, fostering connections that go beyond work. And when it comes to team spirit, there’s no one like him—if anyone can rock a leopard print matching set and a captain’s hat aboard a sailboat, it’s Steve. He brings the fun, the energy, and the camaraderie that make everything we do worth it. Oh captain, my captain—Steve, you’re one of a kind. We’re incredibly lucky to be on this journey with you.

Dry January: The New Frontier for Wellness Brands 🍸✨ It’s January, it’s cold, and the festive glow has slightly dimmed. But instead of drowning their post-holiday blues, more people are skipping the booze. A cultural shift is underway, with 1 in 4 young adults now embracing Dry January—or even longer-lasting sober-curious lifestyles. This isn’t just a passing trend; it’s a massive opportunity for brands in the wellness and lifestyle space to connect with a growing audience who value mindfulness, mental clarity, and meaningful connections. Non-alcoholic spirit brands, wellness hubs, and functional beverage creators are leading the charge. We’ve been loving Seedlip Drinks “No & Low” pop-ups, offering zero-proof cocktail masterclasses that turn sobriety into a social occasion. They’re catering to a generation that wants experiences, not hangovers. We want to know—how are you embracing Dry (or Damp) January? 👉 Vote below!

Are You Sincere? The word sincere comes from the Latin sine cera, meaning “without wax.” Apparently, sculptors used wax to hide flaws in their work, so sine cera meant no cover-ups—nothing hidden. Sincerity takes work. It’s about stripping things back, looking in the mirror, and asking the tough questions: Who are we? What do we stand for? Who do we serve? These aren’t easy questions. Trimming off the excess wax can feel like loss—like you’re letting go of something important. But the truth is, you’re shedding what no longer serves you. What you gain is clarity and the freedom to move forward without excess baggage weighing you down. When you approach growth with sincerity, things start to change. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about knowing the steps you take—challenging or not—reflect who you are, what you stand for, and what you get up every day to do. Sincerity gives you the courage and resilience to keep moving forward. It’s not quick, and it’s not simple. It takes a lot of looking in the mirror and asking those questions again and again. But when you get there, you have a home base you can always come back to—something solid to hold onto when things feel chaotic. Last year, we found our home base, and it feels transformative. This is part of a series of reflections on growth—because let’s face it, growth is never straightforward, it’s good to share. Do you approach growth with sincerity? How do you give yourself resilience? 👇🏼 Thanks for reading. 💚

He calls himself “The Operator” or “The Ghost in the Machine,” and honestly, both fit. Darren is a powerhouse at Anchor Leg—razor-sharp focus, a knack for problem-solving, and an uncanny ability to chart the clearest course forward. When the waters get rough, Darren doesn’t just tackle blockers—he sees them coming from a mile away and steers the team around them, keeping us on track and thriving. We’ve all learned to embrace his love of spreadsheets, trackers, and sprint planning—if you’re not on a Monday board, do you even exist? Darren’s quiet strength and unshakable clarity inspire us all. He keeps us aligned, grounded in our mission, and always moving forward with purpose. Beyond results, Darren lives our mission to prioritise well-being and reminds us to lean into what feels good. And if you're into synths or rockstar vocals—you’ve got yourself a friend. Ask him nicely, and you might just get an impromptu performance that’ll blow you away. Thanks for being a driving force behind Anchor Leg, Darren. We’re lucky to have you on this journey!

“Stick or twist?” That’s what our business coach asked us 18 months ago. Without hesitation, we (Stephen and I) said, “Twist”—with a fervour keener than a randy teenager on prom night. Last year was tough, wasn’t it? For us, it marked our best turnover year yet, but the cost was high in other ways. Growth is exhilarating, yes—but it’s also exhausting, demanding so much energy, time, and focus just to hold the line, let alone push forward. We all know this: growth isn’t a straight line. It’s messy, unpredictable, and often draining. But when it works—when everything aligns—it’s incredibly rewarding. This year, we’re leaning into sustainable growth. For us, that means keeping joy and purpose as core metrics of success. It means believing there’s enough to go around and continued focus on the health of the people, systems, and energy that make everything function, over how much we can get. At Anchor Leg, wellbeing is more than a value—it’s the foundation of how we operate. I wanted to share this reflection with you, because in this tough environment, you never know who might need a new perspective or idea to help them through. This is the first of seven quick reflections on growth that might help others navigating similar challenges. Stay tuned—and I’d love to hear your thoughts. How are you approaching your growth this year? Business or personal. Let’s talk below. ⬇️ #growth #joy #letskeepmoving

What Does "Authenticity" Really Mean for Gen Z? 💬 "Authenticity" has become a buzzword for brands, but for Gen Z, it’s more than a trending term—it’s a standard. 88% of global Gen Z think that it’s very or extremely important to be authentic and true to themselves. Here are two ways we’re seeing authenticity come to life. 1️⃣ Humanised Storytelling, Not Polished Perfection Gen Z is tired of overly staged and produced content. They gravitate toward brands and individuals who share stories as they are—raw, sometimes messy, but honest. Zendaya’s recent campaign with On is a great example. Her campaign highlights the very relatable experience of stepping out of your comfort zone. The stunning visuals of the Swiss Alps paired with Zendaya’s real and relatable personality show us an elevated reality that is aspirational yet grounded. 2️⃣ Standing for Something Bigger It’s not enough to just sell a product—Gen Z wants brands that stand for something real. NUDE PROJECT did just that with a walking art exhibition in Milan, supporting local artists in a way that’s true to its “by artists, for artists” mission. Now that’s a brand showing us that they’re truly invested in their cause. In fact, not taking action could potentially harm a brand. 58% of Gen Z say that if a brand doesn’t communicate its actions to address societal issues, they assume it is doing nothing or hiding something. “Authenticity” isn’t a filter; it’s a practice. Brands ready to make a difference should think less about being liked and more about being real. That’s what resonates with Gen Z.

January Goals? Cool. Now, Let’s Talk February. ❤️ January is the honeymoon phase of fitness—gyms are packed, trails are crowded, and everyone’s posting their “new year, new me” routines. But here’s the truth: the hype fades. The real win comes in February, March, and beyond when those habits stick. At Anchor Leg /, we believe in the power of momentum—not just the excitement of starting strong, but the consistency that builds real change over time. Wellbeing isn’t a January project; it’s a lifestyle. Here’s how we keep it going: 1️⃣ Start Small, Win Big: The bigger the goal, the quicker the burnout. Make it sustainable—whether it’s adding five minutes to your walk or hitting the sack a little earlier. 2️⃣ Make it Fun: Fitness shouldn’t feel like a chore. Find what excites you—whether it’s a fast-paced HIIT class, long walks, or using your favorite app to track progress. Movement should feel good, not like punishment. 3️⃣ Community is Key: Goals are easier to hit when you’re not going solo. Whether it’s joining a fitness challenge, working out with a friend, or being part of a group that supports your well-being journey, staying connected keeps you accountable. So, what’s the one habit you’re carrying into February and beyond? Let’s hear it below. 👇
