We recently sat down for a chat with Nigel Eastham, founder of Sustainability Yard, the app that is tackling #Construction waste head-on. The free, self-service app enables users to buy, sell or give away excess materials from every level of the construction industry, from #DIY lovers to #Tradesmen, to large #Developers. At a time when #EcoConsciousness is at the forefront for individuals and industry, it was a great opportunity to explore how Nigel is harnessing tech to enable positive, #Sustainable change in construction 👷🍃 #WeAreAnders

A massive well done to all who took part in the Battle of the Brands last week in the build-up to the Morson-sponsored Salford Triathlon. Pairs of staff members from Morson Group, Morson Training, Anderselite, and Morson Projects competed to see who could cycle the quickest combined distance to 10K on our exercise bikes and they raised important funds for Chrons & Colitis UK and Dementia UK in the process. It was ultimately Morson Training's Matthew Leavis,CMgr FCMI & Aaron Creighton CMgr MCMI CertEd, who came out the victors, completing the 10K in an impressive 17 minutes, 26 seconds 👏 #MorsonTraining #SalfordTriathlon #Charity

The Salford Triathlon is fast approaching, which takes place on Sunday 28th July. Morson Group is the main sponsor of this event and we are building up momentum with our colleagues to celebrate our involvement in this local sporting competition. We have launched a virtual fitness competition on Strava where colleagues can choose between running, swimming, or biking to emulate the Salford Triathlon. There's still time to join...by logging your activities on Strava, not only will you be joining a new employee-led community, but you'll also take part in some friendly competition amongst your colleagues. Our Architecture team had a great time visiting Clerkenwell Design week 2024 last week. Clerkenwell is home to more creative businesses and architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet, making it truly one of the most important design hubs in the world! To celebrate this rich and diverse community, Clerkenwell Design Week created a truly unique way of showcasing the world’s leading interiors brands and it was a pleasure to visit and be part of this special design festival. The event featured 600+ showroom events, 11+ curated exhibitions, striking installations, topical talks, design destinations, a fringe programme, food and drink partners. The award-winning CDW has firmly established itself as the UK’s leading design festival. The Architectural team truly immersed themselves amongst the hundreds of programmed events, fringe activities from local practices and tantalising deals across EC1's restaurants and bars during the day and are certainly going to make it a yearly event on the calendar! On Saturday 15th June, our own Vicky Rawson will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge ⛰ in support of Fertility Network UK. Over the course of 24 hours, she'll be tackling the highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon - covering a total of 23 miles on foot and traveling 440 miles in between.
