Is your business stepping up and taking a deep dive, not best guess, into your impacts on nature so you can take authentic, strategic action? If this is the business you want to be, have you heard of Natour Impact? “Inside Travel Group is a B Corp Certified tour operator and, while we consider ourselves a responsible business, we wanted to assess our operational impacts to understand where we still need to improve. NATOUR IMPACT not only gave us a detailed report of the business’ nature-related risks, but also bespoke guidance on what actions are necessary to reduce those risks. I'd recommend NATOUR IMPACT as a great starting point for any tour operator seeking to minimise their negative impacts on the natural world.” Thanks to Inside Travel Group | B Corp™ for undertaking a Natour Impact evaluation and showing their commitment to responsible tourism. What is Natour Impact? It's an online evaluation tool created to help travel & tourism businesses regularly assess, monitor and disclose their nature-related risks and impacts, identify actions to reduce them, while also recommending opportunities to build back nature. We have been looking back on a very busy year and laying the foundations for Travel & Tourism to make 2025 a year of action for nature! We are buoyed by the enthusiasm and commitment being show by travel and tourism businesses that have undertaken our Natour Impact evaluation, enhanced their team's knowledge with our trainings, and reinforced their commitments with the help of our policy-writing, strategy development and product assessment services. Thanks to the amazing clients we’ve worked with this year, that include ABTA, Discova, Scott Dunn, British Airways Holidays, Kontiki Reisen, Exodus Adventure Travels, Travel Counsellors and Evaneos. It is also time to recognise the immense efforts of our team who are enabling huge strides for the Nature Positive Tourism initiative. This includes work behind the scenes to bring tourism leaders together with IUCN and its Tourism & Protected Areas Specialist Group at COP 16 and developing the “Nature Positive Travel & Tourism in Action" report, created alongside UN Tourism, World Travel & Tourism Council, and World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance. With our new Biodiversity Literacy Training set to expand beyond the popular course delivered with ABTA, and the vital work of our dedicated Animal Protection Network members and partners to inspire us, we are confident that Travel and Tourism can embrace the New Year, leading the way as Guardians of Nature. Very best wishes to you, your team and families, Daniel, Helen & all the team

🐬 Christmas donation or corporate gift 🐬 - help Sussex Dolphin Project , member of the Animondial Animal Protection Network, raise the funds to purchase a research boat to help understand and protect the extraordinary dolphins and porpoises of Sussex. CDP says fewer than 1 in 10 businesses are assessing their dependencies on nature (2024). This makes businesses vulnerable as they can't identify and mitigate the associated financial risks. We help #travel and #tourism businesses understand their dependencies on nature as well as their impacts with the Natour Impact assessment tool. Discover how it can support your business here: https://lnkd.in/etr6nRUw tool #impactassessment #naturepositivetourism #dependencies

A well-earned win 🏆! Huge congratulations to Fuze Ecoteer for a platinum win at the EXO Travel Sustainability Awards. As a member of our Animal Protection Network, we can share some of the reasons why their work deserves this top accolade that recognises businesses that "exemplify a commitment to empowering communities and protecting cultural heritage": As a certified tour operator with a conservation objective and the mission to 'connect people with nature' Fuze Ecoteer: 🌍 Run volunteering, internship and educational trips in Malaysia's beautiful Perhentian Islands. 🌎 Focus on studying and protecting the turtle population, managing plastic waste, and educating people of all ages and backgrounds. 🌎 Work very closely with the local community as well as with tourism businesses across the islands. 🌎 Show how commercial tourism can be harnessed to support both biodiversity and local communities. 🌎 Runs plastic collection and recycling activities in Kuala Lumpur, clearing rivers and producing practical items from recycled plastic. Their 'Upcycled by FE' project also works with corporate partners, giving them a chance to repurpose their own waste and make a positive contribution to reducing plastic pollution.
