How to tell if an organisation's HR function is forward-thinking, at a glance 👀 Continuing her 'Cost of Not' podcast series, Hope Milne, Manager at Annapurna, recently sat down with Richard Freeborn, Ex VP Global Talent Acquisition & Global Employee Experience at adidas, for a discussion around 'The Cost of Not: Early Careers'. During the podcast, Richard explained that he uses one simple metric to measure the health & forward-thinking ability of an organisation's HR function. That metric is their early careers programme. Richard elaborates on this point by highlighting that HR functions with good, strategic, early career programmes often hold the same characteristics; ✅ Understanding of the need to invest in people for long-term benefits ✅ Great stakeholders ✅ HR function is strategically aligned with the global direction of the organisation If you're looking to future-proof your workforce and stay ahead of the competition, improving your early-careers programme is crucial - this episode will tell you how. The full episode will be released on our #ERUPT podcast across all your favourite streaming platforms tomorrow morning. What a way to end a busy week of events for the Annapurna team 👏   Last night, we hosted our second VIP roundtable event of the week, bringing 𝟏𝟒 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬, & 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 together to discuss '𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: 𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐑 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚'. We were lucky enough to be joined by our partner Visier Inc. (the leading people analytics platform) in the form of Ben Harris (VP, EMEA at Visier) and Daniel Cundill (Account Executive at Visier) for the conversation. Sharing real-world solutions from Visier’s expertise, Ben and Daniel both brought invaluable depth to the discussion, addressing key challenges faced by our guests.   Together, we covered pressing topics such as;   🧠 How can we use these insights to facilitate Strategic Workforce Planning and embed a mindset of organisational effectiveness and optimisation? 🧠 Where can a data-driven HR strategy have the most impact? Who should own the data and/or the strategy? 🧠 How can and should we use technological advancements like AI & RPA across our HR ecosystem? How do we manage the risk vs. reward?   A point that really seemed to resonate with the group on the night was that the bigger you make your Strategic Workforce Plan, the less you will achieve. This highlighted a theme that in today's climate, data is king and getting to know your data to hold credible conversations about it is essential for HR Transformation success.   As always, thanks to our esteemed attendees for bringing fresh perspectives to the table and to Joseph Nabarro (Associate Director at Annapurna) & James Ballard (Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Annapurna) for organising and hosting the discussion.   Key takeaways for those who were unable to attend will be made live on our website in due course. Looking forward to hosting our next VIP roundtable event later tonight (our second event just this week)!   Alongside James and our partners, Visier Inc. and Ben Harris, we’ll be hosting the discussion around ‘Insights to Impact: Unlocking HR Transformation with Data’ – an extremely relevant topic given the growing demand from companies to have more data to enable execution of business objectives.   I think a particular discussion I’m excited to have with our attendees is what their views are on the involvement of AI & RPA across the HR ecosystem. We all know AI is entering the business world at incredible speed, so it was only a matter of time before it started to reshape the HR world, but knowing where and when to use it within the HR function is still critical to strategy success.   To those in my network who will be attending later tonight, I look forward to welcoming you and catching up in person – it’s certainly set to be a great session! To those who could not attend, but contributed to the shaping of the evening, and discussion points, thank you.   #hr #ai #strategy Annapurna

Last night we hosted an exclusive roundtable event with 17 incredible people leaders from across industry for a discussion on ‘Future-Ready Leadership: Investing in and Retaining Your Gen Z Talent’.   As more Gen Z talent enters the working world, the need to learn how to adapt to the challenges a multi-generational workforce presents becomes crucial for long-term success.   One of the standout insights from the session revolved around Gen Z’s “accelerated way of life” – a mindset shaped by growing up in a hyper-connected, tech-driven world. Gen Z talent are driven individuals who want to achieve promotions, have their voices heard, and have the best equipment possible around them to achieve their goals.   For organisations, this creates an opportunity to rethink traditional approaches, adapting how we work, collaborate, and engage with our Gen Z talent to get the best out of them. 💡   Key takeaways from the event will be available soon on our website. Click the link below to register your interest - we’ll notify you as soon as they’re live! 👉 https://lnkd.in/eibAN5W9 👈   Special thank you to all our attendees for creating an insightful discussion and to our host, Becky Finnegan for overseeing the discussion.   #hr #genz #talent
