Really pleased to share an update on a chemistry technology company that we backed in 2023, Arda Biomaterials. They transform globally abundant #waste into scalable, animal-free, and plastic-free materials. The team’s first transformation is turning spent #barleygrain from the beer and whisky industries into a leather-like material called New Grain™, suitable for applications in fashion, automotive, airline, home goods, and more, along with saving 97% CO2eq compared to leather. Arda Biomaterials has won Cleantech Startup of the Year for London in the UK StartUp Awards! Now we compete against the other regional winners for the UK-wide title, which will surely be fierce competition. Looking forward! A big thank you to those who have supported us and followed our journey the past couple of years, with a particular thank you to our stellar investors and the Arda team who I'm really proud to work alongside. And a special one for my co-founder, TJ Edward Mitchell.
