New data Bill set to radically expand use of digital ID with the potential boost to UK economy by £10 billion over 10 years. Digital identity providers like Luciditi are to be regulated in a sweeping overhaul of the law. The death of the DPDI bill was a major blow. But it turns out there's a replacement in the works as announced earlier in the Kings Speech. Whilst the devil is in the as-yet-undisclosed detail, its encouraging and supports our long held view that Digital Identity can/will unlock tremendous economic growth for the UK, particularly if previously closed off data sources are carefully unlocked to help reduce the cost of digital verification. Reuse is key. The benefits of Reusable Digital Identity are so massive, the true value cannot be yet calculated. We predict It will be *way* more than the £600m pa mentioned here. So just imagine if there was already a Digital Identity Service Provider with an certified Reusable Digital Identity Wallet solution, that already leverages Digital Identity Verification, Open Banking and real time Secure Data exchange AND can prove age anonymously Online AND is certified by PASS for In Person use.
