Last week, ASK hosted a roundtable debate to discuss the UK hotel market. Chaired by Joe Freedman, Senior Originator at ASK, and joined by Daniel Austin, Ben Bellman and Mike Ginsberg, it proved to be a very interesting and active discussion that came on the back of very robust performance figures for the sector at the end of Q3. Joe commented that: "Despite the current success and appetite from investors, developers in the sector are being hit by increasingly onerous regulations, planning difficulties and expect the impact of the Autumn Budget to be significant for operators. Yet we are seeing really creative business models fuel the sector's bounce back post pandemic and I think 2025 will be an interesting time for investment in this space."
