Congratulations to everyone recognised! David Hughes, Chief Executive, AoC said: "I’m delighted to see so many deserving college leaders and staff recognised in the 2024 New Year’s Honours. It's their hard work, passion and expertise that makes our colleges great places to learn, train and grow. “I hope everyone working across our sector who has been honoured today enjoys celebrating with their loved ones, and I send them all my congratulations.”

"The college engaged with AoC to undertake the External Board Review after researching other available options and were impressed with the proposal and value for money. We were assigned Sandra Prail MBE. "Briony Denvir and Sandra expertly guided us through the process from start to finish. Sandra's approach was rigorous, supportive and well received by all governors. "The recommendations and outcomes from the review highlighted Sandra's clear understanding of the board and its current position - the implementation of which will help to improve on existing governance practices and strengthen the board. "We will be engaging with Sandra to visit the college again to provide a follow up review of progress against actions and hopefully in the future for further reviews." - Barking & Dagenham College
