Award-winning company empowering patients through gold-standard rapid diagnostics
About us
Our mission is to revolutionise the field of diagnostics by providing rapid, accurate, and quantified point-of-care testing solutions. We strive to empower healthcare professionals with advanced technologies that enhance speed-to-care, leading to improved patient outcomes and ultimately saving lives. What We Have Delivered - A significant pipeline of tests currently focused on the most important global health challenges: Post-viral syndromes like Long Covid, COVID-19, Liver Health, Diabetes, Obesity, and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). Currently the Company’s Long Covid research test is available in the UK, Switzerland, Cyprus with plans to roll out in the USA, India, Singapore and the Cayman Islands. It’s an exciting time for Attomarker but perhaps even more so for the patients served by its innovative gold-based nanophotonic technology. Background - Attomarker is a British company which developed a technology for measuring multiple biomarkers in blood and saliva to provide a multi-dimensional health profile in 7-10 minutes. The data can be used by patients to make more informed decisions about their health, wellbeing and protection, and by healthcare professionals to determine a personalised patient healthcare pathway across multiple healthcare settings at the bedside, in the operating theatre, in the pharmacy and at home. It was founded in 2008, and spun out from Professor Andrew Shaw’s research group at the University of Exeter. It has won numerous prestigious awards for innovation and been awarded grants for research from the UK Government due to the importance of its work. If you wish to find out more about our technology please visit our website www.attomarker.com or contact us directly via email at info@attomarker.com

Recently completed an investment in a #HealthTech startup - Attomarker UK. The company specialises in rapid diagnostics using blood-samples from a finger-prick for many conditions including #LongCovid. But from my pov the big promise of their tech is early detection of viral infections v/s bacterial infections. This can therefore significantly reduce the use of Antibiotics that the medical world globally is so used to as the first line of treatment. In countries like #India, where #antibiotic resistance, due to over-prescription, is a massive problem, this tech could be a boon for patients. Here's an interview with the founder Dr. Andrew Shaw and their India Director Dr. Raman Chandrasekar. They're raising money in case there are other #AngleInvestors out there. Very proud to be part of a passionate group of academics, partner clinics, leading Long Covid opinion leaders, scientists and patients, all with an ambition to develop a deeper understanding of the underlying biochemistry of an individual and their unique immune responses to the Covid19 Sars 2 virus , that could potentially lead to more personalised therapies decided by our expert partner clinics. This test has also recently been awarded the CAUK regulatory mark.

Our #LongCovid / #CFS team at Dr Finlays Private Practice are excited to be working with Attomarker and Professor Andrew Shaw of University of Exeter using a new breakthrough #covid antibody spectrum test to help guide management of long Covid as detailed in the BBC article online today. As one of the leading UK clinics treating long Covid with international reach we are colaborating with Prof Shaw to increase the evidence base for treatment options and serving patients who have been severely affected by this terrible disabling condition. As a recovered long Covid patient and expert Doctor myself I’m glad our patients now have access to this test which can guide our management and evidence treatment options for those with post covid fatigue, viral or Covid spike protein persistence or who have not been able to create an adequate immune response to recover from the virus. If you or your loved ones have suspected long Covid or CFS arising post covid please book a test and consultation to discuss your treatment options with our integrated team here https://lnkd.in/ejUfbGg3 Or contact our team who can discuss your options on team@drfinlays.co.uk https://lnkd.in/e5tpSFbU

🚨MECFS & Long Covid need to invade more the public domain🚨I’ve the feeling that billions are donated by phylantropers and other NGOs in health fields like cancers, rare genetic disorders, Alzheimer and so on. Although there is something supporting #mecfs & #longcovid, that is nothing comparable? Why? because among the public there is no proper understanding of the global burden of ME/CFS-long covid and how patients suffer. We don’t need only trials and evidence, but entire clinical and research areas dedicated for these diseases. To do so, grants are not enough. We need a huge amount of donations. And to do so, I think we also need to go out of our confort zones and try to engage with different levels of the society.I have something in mind in this regard, maybe will fail, but I’ll try. It’s about art and medicine, hope to reach different levels of support. At least in Italy , I don’t expect to have otherwise any other chances of major funding
