⭐ Highlights of the Year 2024 ⭐ Earlier this year, we signed a ten-year contract with our long-term tenants, Prysmian. The Italian firm, which has been a tenant at Port of Middlesbrough for several years, has signed a 10-year agreement, cementing a long-term partnership, in preparation for its future growth. ⭐ Highlights of the Year 2024 ⭐ As we draw to the end of another year, we’re reflecting on some top moments for us as a business. In quarter one we were thrilled to have been awarded The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) ‘Gold’ status, one of the highest accolades in the health and safety industry. Companies who receive a RoSPA award are recognised as being world-leaders in health and safety. As a business whose number one value is safety, we were absolutely delighted to have been awarded ‘Gold’ status. Yesterday our Chairman, Gary Dawson and Deputy Chairman, John Young travelled to Westminster with Paul Andrews, from Family Business United. The group met with MPs along with several multi generational family business lobbying for the reversal of changes to Business Property Relief made in the recent budget. These changes, along with adjustments to National Insurance, are already influencing investment and employment decisions and are having a direct impact on family businesses. Last month, our transport company, AV Dawson Transport Limited, launched their new Scania Group Super R500 HGV's. Equipped with the latest R500 fuel efficient engine, they also boast the XT package which includes reinforced bumpers, higher air intake and headlight protection for those more robust delivery sites. The trucks are FORS - Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme 'Bronze' compliant with the added benefit of a lot of the FORS silver standards including; reverse parking sensors, 360-degree CCTV and an Opti-drive Canbus system for real time driver compliance and safety feedback. To celebrate the start of the festive period, we hosted a special family event for our colleagues, tenants, and their loved ones. Despite the weather, hundreds joined us to enjoy games, craft and food stalls, a visit from Santa, real reindeers, and Rory the Lion, all accompanied by a fantastic performance from the Tees Components Brass Band.
