The biggest council in the country, with equally big ambitions to transform its waste and recycling services. From the resident on their smartphone right through to the crew loading the bin, we are out to create the best experience possible. It’s a massive challenge and one I’m really looking forward to.

We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Birmingham City Council, the largest council in Europe, to enhance their waste management services through our innovative Collective software 🚛✨ This partnership will see a fleet of 200 vehicles, including 150 brand new ones, equipped with our state-of-the-art Collective in-cab system. This system, integrated with live cameras and telematics, will connect in real-time to the Collective back-office system. This integration will enable the council to continually improve and optimize operations, providing residents with improved information about their services. But that's not all! Our Collective system also prioritizes the wellbeing and safety of the crew. Crews will be able to report safety concerns, receive up-to-date information about hazards, and access online resources for mental health and wellbeing. Suicide is the no 1 killer of men under 50 in the UK and it's our New Year Resolution to put the wellbeing of crews at the centre of our work in 2025, and to get people talking about mental health. Today many of our staff are beginning a year-long challenge to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise awareness and money for Andy's Man Club.
