We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to take part in sport, regardless of their circumstances. That’s why we’ve partnered with Howden, Bath, to ensure all young people in our community who need them have access to rugby boots – giving them the chance to play, grow in confidence, and support their development. 💙 📍 Donate, collect, or exchange boots at Howden Bath (7 George Street), call 01225 788044 or visit our website: https://lnkd.in/edGWc5bZ to find out more. Thanks to Abi Brinkhurst and the team at Howden for delivering this brilliant initiative. Together, we can break down barriers and create opportunities through sport. 🏉 #BootExchange #DonateBoots #BuildingConfidence

About us
Bath Rugby Foundation is the charitable arm of Bath Rugby Club set up to empower young people in Bath and surrounding areas to succeed. We use the values of rugby to inspire young people to create a better future for themselves. Our focus is on improving Health, Education, Employability and Inclusion in the South West. Bath is a city famed for its Roman baths, impressive Georgian architecture, Jane Austen - and of course its rugby club. But behind the Georgian façade lies a different story. 20% of children in Bath are living in poverty. One area of Bath, Twerton West, is in the top 10% most deprived areas in the country. A matter of miles down the road, Bear Flats is in the top 10% least deprived. All the while, the gap between the two is widening. The poor are getting poorer, and the rich are getting richer. A baby born in the most deprived area of B&NES can expect to live 9.3 years less than one born in a more affluent neighbourhood. Whiteway is within the bottom 1% in the country in its provision of education and training for children and young people. The problem is clear. And that’s why Bath Rugby Foundation has created a host of programmes that ensure every young person, no matter their background, is given the tools they need to succeed – to create a better future for themselves. Our programmes are geared towards addressing four key areas of need in B&NES: Health, Education, Employability and Inclusion. Each programme is tailored to use sport to build confidence, and empower participants to live successful, happy and healthy lives. Our coaches are not just sports coaches, they are mentors. They give dedicated support to motivate, raise self-esteem, increase confidence and improve life skills. Each session combines physical activity with education sessions to change the lives of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Are you, or someone you know, aged 16-25 and currently not in education, employment, or training (NEET)? Our ADVANTAGE programme offers life-changing opportunities. From tailored employability workshops to confidence-boosting team sports, we help young people take positive steps towards their future. Take Ash’s story as an example—through the programme, he overcame his fear of heights and became the first to summit Pen Y Fan during a group climb. 🏔️ Today, he’s thriving in a job he loves, and his story is an inspiration to us all. 💡 Join our Pop-Up Hub sessions every Tuesday and Wednesday, from 2:30pm to 4:30pm, to discover how we can help achieve goals. Together, we can make a difference. 📍 Learn more by scanning the QR code in the post or following this link: https://lnkd.in/eC9C5JGs ADVANTAGE is a collaborative programme with Bath Rugby Foundation, Bath & North East Somerset Council and West of England Mayoral Combined Authority. Thanks to WECA funding and UKSPF, we are able to offer our ADVANTAGE programme to all 16-25-year-olds not currently in education, employment or training (NEET). #AdvantageProgramme #BathRugbyFoundation #YouthSupport #SkillsForLife #NEET

Rethinking education for real-world impact! 📚💡 At Bath Rugby Foundation, we combined carpentry and maths to teach practical skills—and it worked! 🛠️ For five hours, students who previously struggled with attendance were fully engaged and eager to learn. This highlights the importance of a flexible, hands-on curriculum that prepares young people for life beyond school. 🚀 Read more here: With the Government currently reviewing the curriculum, we want to hear your thoughts. How can schools better equip students for the future? Let’s discuss! ⬇️💬 #EducationMatters #CurriculumReview #PracticalLearning #BathRugbyFoundation

Empowering healthy lifestyles through partnerships! 🥗 We’re proud to have kicked off 2025 by working in partnership with Wiltshire Council, Chippenham Rugby Football Club, The PhunkyFoods Programme and Cocklebury Farmhouse Homes to support adults with SEND through our Move With Bath programme. 💪 This week, Phunky Foods led an engaging session focused on healthy eating, where participants learned to make a delicious salmon dip. It’s been a fantastic start to the year, promoting positive habits and building confidence in the kitchen! 🌟 Thank you to all our partners for helping us make this possible. Together, we’re making a difference! 🙌 #MoveWithBath #HealthyLiving #SENDSupport #Inclusion #CommunityImpact #Partnerships
