Teesside to become the 'Silicon Valley of Net Zero' “This transformational project will deliver thousands of high-quality jobs for years to come and deliver incredible opportunities for our local workforce, especially our young people.” Net Zero Teesside Power (NZT Power), in partnership with the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) and global energy leaders bp, Equinor and TotalEnergies, have announced ‘financial close and entry into the execution phase’. NZT Power will establish the world’s first gas-fired power station with carbon capture at Teesworks, while NEP will provide state-of-the-art CO2 transportation and storage infrastructure. Academy lays the foundations for construction careers “We are delighted to be opening the Sanderson Skills Academy, named in memory of our much-loved colleague Ross. Reed Boardall’s cold store expansion proves successful “Having served the country’s leading food retailers and manufacturers for over 30 years, it’s reassuring to see that customers are continuing to prioritise quality of service and seeking a reputable long-term cold storage and transport partner.” North Yorkshire-based The Reed Boardall Group has reported a rise in pre-tax profits to £2.51 million for the year ending March 2024, marking a net profit increase to 1.9 per cent of revenue from 1.1 per cent the previous year. Bosses say the growth is partly down to the nearly “full utilisation” of its state-of-the-art cold storage facility in Boroughbridge, which was expanded in 2021 to accommodate 168,000 pallets.
