This week, we brought the Belzona Training on the Road to Denmark, meeting with our dedicated distributors from across the Scandinavia region. It was a superb opportunity to explore Belzona’s newest products and solutions and to recognize some of the fantastic work of our teams from Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. Special thanks to Morten Sivertsen and Lars from AESSEAL DANMARK A/S for their exceptional hospitality! Over two dynamic days, we discussed a range of successful applications including chemical containment areas and leading-edge protection, SF6 gas leak sealing, composite wraps, and ferry floor repairs. The discussions also highlighted the critical role of training within the Belzona network, enhancing our understanding of its impact and reach. We're excited about the shared vision and momentum building towards a successful 2025 in the region. 🚩 Problem: A chemical manufacturing plant experienced an emergency shutdown due to a sulfuric acid leak from a flange in the suction chamber. The existing coating had been damaged, leading to dangerous conditions and an immediate need for repair. 🔧 Solution: The damaged flange was removed and sent to Belzona UK Ltd's workshop. The surface was thoroughly prepared by cleaning, degreasing, and roughening to remove the failed coating and expose the steel substrate. Belzona 1392 was then applied to the flange, ensuring a level surface so the gasket could sit tightly. After curing, the flange was returned and reinstalled at the plant. ✅ Fact: Belzona 1392, a high temperature coating designed for harsh chemical environments, proved ideal for this application, handling up to 40% sulfuric acid at 55°C.
