Today is World AIDs day ❤ To commemorate this, we are sharing the Birmingham AIDs and HIV memorial, which was unveiled on this day in 2022. The memorial commemorates all the lives lost to AIDs and HIV. Over 100,000 people are living with HIV in the UK today, and due to advances in medicine, it is now treatable and those diagnosed can live a long, healthy life. Despite this, there is still a lot of stigma and misunderstandings around AIDs and HIV. We are delighted to announce our new exciting project…Gen-Hydro! Our plan:- Whilst working with 17 other organisations across Europe, our mission is to teach and educate people about the benefits of green hydrogen. - Using our creative initiative, we want to help build bridges between art and science in raising awareness about green hydrogen. - By helping create a network of 500+ schools across Europe, we want to help inspire and motivate the next generation to get on board for this new exciting prospect. In addition, it will help schools create connections with schools from all over! Help us tackle the climate issues that we face today. Help the youth have a more secure and sustainable future, one which isn’t so imposed and restricted by the climate threats that they face at the moment. See more about it on our website! https://lnkd.in/e6RHzhv7

“What makes good photography? Does it have to be good to be important?” 🎞️ On Thursday we ran the Discovering Lisel Haas Workshop with Jaskirt Dhaliwal-Boora and Women in Photo Brum at the Library of Birmingham, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. It was incredible afternoon of research as we looked into the archives and came out with fascinating responses about migration, identity, and what it means to be woman photographer both then and now. We are very excited to continue unearthing and documenting Lisel Haas’ archive, so stay tuned for further updates and workshops to follow! For now, we would like to thank everyone who attended – we look forward to hearing from you all both online and in future workshops.
