Louis Vuitton has concealed its under-renovation flagship store in New York with a striking luggage-inspired facade and opened a temporary location nearby, featuring sculptures designed by OMA partner Shohei Shigematsu. The flagship at East 57th Street and 5th Avenue is now surrounded by a facade modeled after the brand's iconic trunks, while the temporary store, located just around the corner, showcases sculptures that rise dramatically through an atrium. Designed by Louis Vuitton's in-house team, the facade wraps completely around the ongoing construction, resembling six grey trunks of various sizes, stacked in descending order. #OMA #NYCDesign #LouisVuitton https://lnkd.in/efq-hPK6

Every year my favourite industry event is the AIA NSW Chapter Prizes and Awards end-of-year party.
