Big Foot Systems recently completed a challenging rooftop installation in downtown Boston. The project required securing Mitsubishi Electric Trane US VRF units with wind baffles and snow hoods to the rooftop, meeting a stringent wind speed rating of 128 mph – all without penetrating the roof's membrane. Our expert engineers designed a custom plant deck using our innovative Multi Frames, ensuring a secure and penetration-free installation. Strategically placed ballast weights provided additional stability, meeting the project's stringent wind load requirements. The result was a successful, penetration-free rooftop installation. We recently had the pleasure of providing a bespoke support solution to the UK's 1st 'motionless' wind turbine at BMW Group's MINI UK factory in Oxford in collaboration with Aeromine Technologies, Inc.   Teaming up with Aeromine’s technical team and BMW’s project team to tackle project-specific wind and roof loading criteria while designing our support solution for the 3-metre-tall unit was a great experience, we look forward to working with Aeromine Technologies again in the future after such a great success.
