Biker Group Groundworks have successfully delivered an initial 33-week principal contractor period at Bishops Vale, Northallerton for our key client, Taylor Wimpey plc North Yorkshire alongside a consortium infrastructure remit for Persimmon Homes. The 33-week programme was delivered safely, on-programme and in line with client requirements and full NHBC compliance with fantastic scores throughout. This included the following remit. ✅ Site set up established and maintained throughout the PC period. ✅ Contaminated areas segregated, excavated to clean cover levels, and tested prior to commencement of Earthworks in areas of the scheme. ✅ Bulk earthworks involving Topsoil and vegetation strip alongside cut and fill utilising site-won material, whilst managing all within a site with tight boundary constraints and a fast-paced programme meaning stockpiling was only a short term and well sequenced option. ✅ Full adoptable drainage installed including sewer connection in compliance with Yorkshire Water. ✅ Full highway including consortium road and site entrance adjustments onto bypass in compliance with North Yorkshire County Council Highways. ✅ A 631m3 Surface Water Attenuation tank installed for which early-stage design support ensured that the correct system and manufacturer were used, whilst offering up value engineering. ✅ 48 units installed to DPC level including Foundations, Substructure Masonry, Suspended Floors and Private Drainage. ✅ Private driveways installed alongside adoptable footpaths, all to binder course level. ✅ Main services excavated and backfilled across site alongside Plot services thus minimising any future excavation works in and around the Plots prior to completion.

The Yorkshire Macmillan Carol Concert 2024 It is a pleasure to continue our support of The Yorkshire Macmillan Carol Concert at Ripon Cathedral, by sponsoring the reception at The Old Deanery this evening. Macmillan is the UK’s leading cancer supporter charity giving personal, one to one care and support to thousands of people every day. The concert is organised by a committed group of volunteers who meet throughout the year and supported by local businesses and organisations through advertising and sponsorship. The Catterick Concrete plant were last week involved with the supply of a LC40/44 Lightweight concrete for a much-valued client who were conducting bridge strengthening repairs in Wensleydale. The lightweight aggregate used within the mix, through its reduced density, decreases the overall weight of the concrete which in turn allows the product to be easily handled and placed within the existing, delicate bridge structure, whilst achieving 44MPa in strength. Our Concrete Business prides itself not only on its quality and service of the products they supply, but also the variety and range of specialist mixes they produce. This includes our Longfloor Integracure Screed, our leading BikerFlow self-compacting floor slab concrete, through to our free flowing BikerTrench foundation mix, as well as SpeedyStrength, which is designed to reach high industrial slab strengths within 3 days.

A recent delivery of Longfloor IntergaCure screed supplied by Our Concrete Business was captured by the team at Discovery+ in the latest episode of #DerelictRescue. As demonstrated in this episode, our Longfloor liquid cement screed provides the ideal solution for underfloor heating and can be used on both electric and water heating pipes, and suitable to receive non-moisture sensitive floor finishes within 7-14 days. https://lnkd.in/ei_33Bjb

We are pleased to start our first groundworks scheme for Leeds-based Stonebridge Homes at Nightingale Chase, Guisborough. The 51-unit development comprises an exceptional collection of three, four and five-bedroom high specification homes situated in the desirable and picturesque market town of Guisborough. The plotworks package includes all foundations, drainage, floor slabs, external works and significant retaining walls. The project offers Biker Group Groundworks a fantastic opportunity to work alongside Stonebridge Homes, whilst supporting their growth and expansion into the North East.
