On Thursday, November 14, 2024, Thorntons Law LLP partnered with Black Professionals United Kingdom (BPU) to host the Internship Dinner 2024, celebrating the success of interns from the Black Interns Programme. Held at Thorntons’ offices in Glasgow, the event brought together over 100 attendees for an evening of inspiration and connection. The evening featured heartfelt stories from interns about their personal growth, with one reflecting that “sometimes growth is not visible.” Keynote speaker Michael Jackson , BPU Ambassador, left the audience with a memorable message: “Ensure that you are a very good human being because we don’t have many good people in the world.” The event was a testament to the transformative impact of the Black Interns Programme, which equips young Black professionals with mentorship, career opportunities and community support. Looking ahead to 2025, BPU is committed to making an even bigger impact with a new cohort of interns and another memorable Internship Dinner.
