On our last meeting of 2024 the chaps pulled a blinder on Rob Copeland! If a picture speaks a 1000 words we could pick just one: Payback 🤭 We continued to go off script with a fun quiz organised by Gary Copeland-Boyd. To everyone who was part of our year, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year! See you in 2025 💖

We’ve always said at BNI Magnum - Ayrshire that we are serious about business! Our ten minute presentation this morning was delivered by our BNI Scotland West DC and member of Vision BNI (Newton Mearns) chapter Scott Cuthbertson. The topic was Power Teams. You will see from the images that Scott had a story to tell. No one was expecting Shrek although we do have a Fiona… These pictures are from Scott’s recent trip to Hawaii for the BNI Global conference. Nearly $25 BILLION! We’re pretty sure this is a global phenomenon over the last year. Apparently our own chapter contributed more than a million pounds… But the real story is the picture around the table. Each person is part of a global power team who meet every fortnight to help each other achieve their dream clients. Replicating this in our own region means that we can be helping each other too. If this sounds like something you could use in your business do get in touch. Plus we heard from Jamie Quigley about his Core Value of Lifelong Learning and Scott took the Ed Slot on why it’s important to prepare your 60 second introduction. Thanks to our visitors and substitutes for joining in the conversations today. #lifelonglearning #powerteams #inittogether

Have you ever heard the term “Nibbling”? We learned about it from David Lucas this morning. It may well be a welding term but in this instance Davie shared how it is a negotiation tool (that Trump uses). Slowly but surely you’re giving more away than you planned. Interesting strategy we are all subject to most likely daily. Building relationships was the Core Value from Debbie Sutherland and this is also a positive way to nibble away at learning more about people. Onto the ten minute presentation from Jamie Quigley and the importance of documenting any form of Directors Loan Account. His advice is to not nibble away at company profits that can lead to cash flow issues or potential insolvency. Congratulations too for Barry Kerr on being the Notable Networker for not only TYFTB but Referrals too 👏🏼 #bnimagnum #nibbling #insolvencyadvice

Welcome to our two newest members! Say Hello to Andy and Diane. They will be helping us with Removals and Cake retrospectively. We will share more about them and their businesses in the coming weeks. Thank you to Dawn Cuthbertson for sharing her Core Value on Lifelong Learning. And for the reminder of the minimum standards for being a fully participating member in our chapter from Reagan Hamilton. Our feature speaker was Elma Mitchell who shared the support Marie Curie UK offers to individuals and employers. Does your company have a Bereavement Policy? Know someone who is terminally ill worrying about their energy bills? Elma can help. #lifelonglearning #raisethestandards #endoflifesupport 📷 credit: Peter Stevenson
