🎙 Stepping into the future of education at the inaugural Meta Education Summit was truly a transformative experience! This event brought together an incredible community of innovators, all charting new paths in VR and immersive learning. The range of panels, talks, ideas, and insights I gathered was invaluable, sparking fresh perspectives that I can’t wait to apply. I even got to try out the new Ray-Ban Meta glasses—I think they suit me! I was also privileged to represent IDEA Lab during one of the Lightning Talks, where I spoke on “Empowering Empathy and Collaboration in Higher Education through VR.” Sharing our VR pilot projects with Bodyswaps to build leadership and teamwork skills was a memorable experience, especially as it was my first time giving a Lightning Talk! I’ll admit, I was nervous, but the amazing audience turned it into an unforgettable moment. Another exciting highlight was Meta’s announcement of our partnership through their Meta for Educators Beta Program. We’ve been actively testing and providing feedback on their new headset management platform, helping shape the next wave of tools to support educators and learners. This summit was a powerful reminder of how VR can deepen learning and foster empathy.
