FUN FACT FRIDAY 💡 Did you know that our engine parts have helped to break records? In 1935, Eric Fernihough and Charles Mortimer broke a number of speed records with a 250c.c. Cotton J.A.P. motorcycle fitted with "CROSS" linerless aluminium cylinder and piston construction. Boneham & Turner were the sole replacement manufacturers of the "CROSS" system. #ukmanufacturing #history

Where did 2024 go!? Although the year seemed to disappear quickly, the Boneham team have continued to drive forward, achieving great things, they are a credit to our history. Highlights include: • 99.8% pick accuracy • 92% OTIF and improving, across 8.5m parts dispatched • Supplier OTIF drastically improved • Significant investment into digitalising inspection, improving efficiency and accuracy • Increased automated turning capacity • A highly successful re-certification audit of our AS9100D accreditation • JOSCAR renewal • 3 new websites for Boneham & the Koenig Expander • New faces to add significant value to our growing team • 4 exhibitions, strengthening our commitment to building relationships • New products, innovation and process improvements to ensure additional value for our customers and flexible tailoring of standard solutions • Open days, enterprise and STEM commitment 2025 will be challenging, but we have exciting plans to grow the team and keep moving forward for our customers, investing in manufacturing and building skills for the future. FUN FACT FRIDAY 💡 Having designed and built a prototype of an Internal Grinder Model 01, and used in their own production in the early 1980's, Boneham & Turner decided to exhibit it at a Machine Tool Exhibition at the NEC. This generated their first sale of the machine. Following some redesigns to external features to provide a more practical balance, the company went on to sell a further seven machines to customers. #ukengineering #history

Boneham Black dowels are precisely machined to accurately locate and align composite moulds. A Formula One engine can deliver 50,000 cycles of a four-stroke process during an enhanced qualifying mode. FUN FACT FRIDAY 💡 The 1970s was a decade of industrial action that damaged many of the country's manufacturing industries. But Boneham & Turner attitude was one of product development and expansion. Our Field Mill Works underwent a revamp, where offices were altered to open plan style and a new reception area was added. We also extended the site by 10,000 sq feet to 20,000 sq ft and this is where we would produce the fine boring machine and spindle lines. #ukmanufacturing #history
