There’s a new look in town: Following the meteoric expansion of its portfolio and growth into new markets, we needed to refresh the visual, verbal, and experiential components of Carlsberg Group's Somersby brand, creating a suite of new distinctive brand assets that will drive recognition and consistent global storytelling. The brand’s key icon - the Somersby tree - has been reinterpreted and reimagined with dynamic lines and curves to improve its iconicity. Drawing from dappled sunlight through the tree tops, it cues freedom and a refreshed sense of optimism. Giving the wordmark an uplifting perspective, its upward curve grounds the Somersby tree to be full of new possibilities. I had a great day last week at University of Lincoln kicking off our 'Ugly Ducklings' brief ‘Sell the Unsellable’ followed by an amazing workshop with ideas that ranged from overcoming fears, new fashion brand designed to increase personal space to an event for recovering arsonists and pyromaniacs.
