Brake, the road safety charity
Public Safety
Campaigning for safer streets and delivering the National Road Victim Service
About us
Brake is a road safety charity established in 1995 to stop the needless death, injury and pollution happening on our streets every day. We offer free tools, resources and support for communities, schools and businesses, running global campaigns including #RoadSafetyWeek each November and the Global Fleet Champions initiative for at-work drivers. Through our National Road Victim Service, we offer support to all those affected by road death and injury, as well as the professionals that care for them.

As Road Safety Week comes to a close, we are proud to have played a part in supporting this vital cause. Sponsoring this initiative has given us the opportunity to shine a light on the importance of safer roads for everyone and the work that Brake do to help families following a road crash. From raising awareness to sharing practical tips, we’ve been inspired by the collective effort of individuals and organisations dedicated to making a real difference. Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and we remain committed to ensuring drivers, passengers, and pedestrians alike can feel more secure on the roads every day. Let’s keep the momentum going—because safer roads save lives. #RoadSafetyWeek #AftertheCrash #Brake5 #SaferRoads

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in last week's #RoadSafetyWeek campaign! Together we reached millions of people with road safety messages, launched our Road Victims' Charter in Westminster and shared the real stories behind the statistics. Millions took part in schools, in communities and at work all over the UK. You can now sign up to take part again in 2025 here: https://lnkd.in/gEyXPjp. Thank you to our sponsors Autoglass® for supporting this campaign again this year.
