At Bravissimo, we are passionate about inspiring big boobed women to feel amazing!

About us

#WeAreBravissimo Bravissimo is a company that provides a wide choice of lingerie and swimwear in D-L cup. We are passionate about our purpose which is to be the cheerleader for big boobed women and aim to inspire our customers to celebrate their boobs and feel amazing Sarah Tremellen set up Bravissimo in 1995 following her own frustrating experiences trying to find pretty bras that fit her. Sarah had been appalled by the lack of choice in her size and was fed up of being offered enormous matronly contraptions more suitable for landing parachutes and being told she could not possibly expect to find gorgeous bras in her size. Adamant that big boobed women like herself deserved a better deal when buying lingerie, Sarah started Bravissimo as a mail order company from her living room. Today, we have 25 shops in the UK and an ecommerce operation that supports customers all over the world. We have around 700 employees across the business inclusive of our head office teams based out of Leamington Spa. We have some very exciting plans for the future and there has never been a better time to be part of Bravissimo.

We loved welcoming the team from Flourish to HQ this month and being able to support an organisation local to our HQ with values so aligned with our own. Our teams really valued taking the time to think about self-esteem and importantly, self-compassion. A lunch and learn with a real difference! Thankyou Helen Laycock, Char Bevan and Minnie for spending some time with us #WeareBravissimo #flourish

Earlier this month, Helen Laycock, Char Bevan and Minnie facilitated a Lunch and Learn session for the wonderful Bravissimo. Bravissimo have been so generous to You Can Flourish for the last 2 years, so we were delighted to offer something back to their fantastic staff team. Offering a moment in their busy days to reflect on: - each others strengths (there were many!) - what self-compassion looks like - and how they might encourage their 14 year old self. The Bravissimo team showed such warmth, interest and compassion, for themselves, their colleagues and the girls we support. Thanks to so much to Kate Davis for organising and inviting us in. So great to meet Emily Mackay-Wright and the rest of the team. We're really excited to see how our partnership grows with a company who, like us, puts Women and Girls at the heart of what they do. #womenandgirls #bravissimo #flourish #warwickshire #midlands #mentoring #selfesteem #confidence #strength #youngerself #compassion

    Buying Manager - Bravissimo

I started my Bravissimo journey in the Bravissimo Newcastle store, and my Granny Joy was their biggest fan forever visiting just because she loved the girls so much, when they moved to their new store they dedicated a fitting room door after her so she will always be remembered. Yesterday I visited with Oliver and got to do a fitting on his mum in the fitting room dedicated to his great granny. The people at Bravissimo is one of my favourite things about my job and I’m so grateful I get to work alongside such amazing and thoughtful people everyday. Going above and beyond for our people as well as our customers is what Bravissimo is all about, thank you Lisa & Dawn and Team Newcastle 🖤🤍 #wearebravissimo

October is jam packed with different things to spotlight and celebrate. This year, our Belonging Network suggested that we pick up the #BlackHistoryMonth theme of “Reclaiming narratives” and give our black team members a platform to share their story with the rest of Bravissimo. Throughout October we’ve shared different stories from people across Bravissimo on our intranet and through poster displays at our Warehouse, and as promised, we wanted those team members to also have a platform on LinkedIn to share with you all their words. Today’s story comes from Zainab Muhammad Kande, one of our consultants in Customer Services ❤️ Zainab’s Story: From the moment I embarked on my journey with Bravissimo on January 8, 2024, I knew I was stepping into something transformative. Growing up in a large, loving family, I was surrounded by warmth and unity. Yet, there was a prevailing narrative that weighed heavily on the women in my life: the expectation that once we achieved our diplomas, our paths would lead towards marriage or securing financial stability, effectively putting our dreams on hold. I watched as my aunties, strong and capable, deferred their aspirations until after marriage. As the first grandchild among over 55 relatives, I felt the responsibility to shift this narrative for the younger generations—my sisters, my cousins, and all the girls who came after me. I made a promise to myself: I would be the change. With unwavering determination, I became the first female in my family to earn a Bachelor of Science degree abroad, breaking a cycle that had persisted for generations. But I didn’t stop there. I embraced love, married, and welcomed my first child into the world, all the while pursuing my first master’s degree. The journey was not without its challenges. Juggling motherhood and studies demanded everything I had, but with the steadfast support of my husband, family, and friends, I pressed on. I wanted to show everyone, especially the young girls in my community, that dreams can coexist with love and family. Today, as I pursue my second master’s degree, I reflect on the hurdles I've overcome. The road was often rocky and fraught with criticism, yet each challenge became a stepping stone towards my dreams. I stood firm in my beliefs, drawing strength from the very adversity that sought to hold me back. My story is not just mine; it’s a testament to the #potential within every black girl child. I am proud to be the first girl in my family to hold two master’s degrees, and I aspire to pursue a PhD. More importantly, I aim to create a platform that empowers other black girls to dream bigger and achieve more than I have. This is not just my journey; it’s a collective call to action for all of us. Together, we can rewrite the narrative, proving that ambition and love can coexist. We can #rise, #inspire, and pave the way for future generations. An amazing story – thank you so much Zainab Muhammad Kande ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

October is jam packed with different things to spotlight and celebrate. This year, our Belonging Network suggested that we pick up the #BlackHistoryMonth theme of “Reclaiming narratives” and give our black team members a platform to share their story with the rest of Bravissimo. Every Tuesday throughout October we’ve shared different stories from people across Bravissimo on our intranet and through poster displays at our Warehouse, and as promised, we wanted those team members to also have a platform on LinkedIn to share with you all their words. Today’s story comes from Lindiwe Sibanda, one of our fitting consultants in Cardiff, who has recently graduated with first class honours in Mathematics. 👏 Hiya, I’m Lindi! I joined Bravissimo in 2021, left in 2022 to study Maths in Canada, came back to Bravissimo in 2023 and just graduated this year whoop whoop! (Yes, you should applaud 👏 I’m a black woman in STEM baby! But please don’t ask me how much an item is with discount, unless you have a calculator!) I’d say I’m really into seeing live music and travelling. In fact, if I say I’m going to a concert, what I mean is, I’m going to see 2/3 artists in a short period of time in completely different cities. No, I do not have a plan, but it ALWAYS works and it’s ALWAYS the best time. This Black History Month celebrate your differences, celebrate your strengths, as these are the things that make you unique and beautiful. Lindi, x #wearebravissimo #belonging

We kicked off our fundraising for CoppaFeel! at Bra HQ last week with some Bravissimo staples...a cake sale and firm favourite, our bottle tombola! We are now set up with our fundraising board and loving the creative decs we've got around HQ for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There's more to come this month too with some quizzing, bra pong and we can't wait to welcome a Boobette from CoppaFeel! so our teams can hear more about the great work we are supporting them with. #checkyourchest #BCAM

We’re so pleased to be supporting Black Women Rising UK, an amazing charity dedicated to raising awareness of cancer amongst people of colour and supporting those with cancer. We were so inspired by the fabulous Gloria from our Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign speaking so passionately about being an ambassador for Black Women Rising. Give Gloria’s Story a watch and have a look at Black Women Rising UK to find out more about the amazing work they do.
