Brewster Bye Architects

Today I had the pleasure of visiting Caddick Construction’s Railway Street Project! 🏠🚋 It was refreshing to see developers create a fantastic hub for social housing so close to the city centre, with such incredible character retainment and build quality. I must also credit Brewster Bye Architects for their attention to detail; from the character of the buildings, to the safety measures put in place for passing train drivers on the exterior of the building facing the rail tracks regarding sunlight reflection! I was also pleasantly surprised to find Leeds City Council’s Vital Energy PIPES heat network implemented into the development, a project which I briefly helped out with during my undergraduate work placement back in early 2020! A wonderful insight for my Housing and Urban Regeneration module!

BBA were delighted to attend the 3rd annual Parklane Foundation charity dinner with over £90,000 raised during 2024 for their fantastic charities St. George's Crypt, Simon on the Streets and Crisis. Andrew Chapman and Hannah Jayne Cawthorne hosted a table with DPP enjoying fantastic food by MyLahore and great company. PROJECT UPDATE: Works are progressing well at our 100% affordable housing scheme at the former Horsforth College Campus, now known as the Fold, with over 40 plots now handed over with many more on the way Vistry Group Stonewater

Planning permission has been granted for an affordable homes scheme for Legal and General Affordable Homes consisting of 78 apartments in an 11 storey building with associated cycle, bin and concierge space at St. Cecilia Street, Leeds BWA (Europe) Limited Legal & General

Great to see this development handover, fantastic effort from all involved.

Lovely to see the sun out yesterday shining on our Merrion Street PBSA development in Leeds as it nears completion. The building is already having a positive impact on this evolving part of the city.

Fantastic to attend a special ceremony to celebrate Stonewater’s 7000th home at our scheme in Horsforth, now called The Fold. The scheme will deliver 152 much needed affordable and shared ownership homes to this area of Leeds. With thermally efficient fabrics, air source heat pumps and PV’s all the homes will be energy efficient and help combat fuel poverty.
