About us

Breyer is one of the leading property services providers in the South and South East, with over 60 years of experience within the public sector. Our specialist roofing, responsive repair and refurbishment teams deliver award-winning services through innovative, sustainable, socially-conscious and environmentally-sensitive solutions. Established in 1956 by Fred Breyer, the company remains a family-owned business and we pride ourselves on continuing to work with family values in place. We run as an extension of our clients’ businesses, delivering personable and professional services that are tailored to the needs of their customers and stakeholders, be it within a regeneration project, a long-term programme or a multimillion pound partnering framework. Breyer is also one of the only companies of its kind to have attained B Corp status. This prestigious award demonstrates our significant commitment to meeting the highest standards of social and environmental impact. This is why we not only deliver excellent property services, but also have ISO9001:2015 and ISO45001:2018 accreditations; run high impact community investment programmes; and support a number of good causes through the Breyer Foundation. • Breyer Group had the privilege of donating 10 mobile phones to Southern Housing as part of their Digital Inclusion plan to support residents across all Southern Housing Communities. These devices will support residents with no access to connectivity and support to overcome isolation and exclusion. Our Social Value Manager, Glenn met with Jason Davis to hand over the mobiles earlier this week. #BreyerGroup #SocialValue

  • Breyer Group has made an excellent start to delivering home repairs and property improvements for Kingston Council’s residents, with numerous notes of thanks from residents and Kingston Council representatives alike.    Having taken over from the previous property services company at the start of October, Breyer has already delivered repairs in the thousands for residents, which are being delivered from their local office in Kingston. The team also participated in a resident engagement event and a job fair with Kingston Council as part of their mobilisation phase during the summer.   Dean Van Woerkom, Breyer’s Head of Partnerships is responsible for overseeing the works. He commented: “It is incredibly important to us that we provide a friendly, high-quality service for residents. So, it is always rewarding when we get positive feedback confirming that we’re doing just that. Alongside our property repairs and improvements, we are also keen to bring additional value through careers events and community investment initiatives. With this in mind, we are already working on a number of plans that will be rolled out in the coming months, including last week’s training and careers event." #BreyerGroup #KingstonCouncil #ResponsiveRepairs #ResidentSatisfaction

Fostering Change and Building Connections 🌟 Yesterday, the Breyer Group Foundation’s partnered with the Cross Industry Construction Apprenticeship Task Force (CCATF) for the Place of Change Roadshow which made a stop at the vibrant FUSEBOX Kingston, run by the inspiring Creative Youth charity. The venue itself was a standout, featuring some incredible Roman ruins as a backdrop! The event brought together Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames residents and local MSMEs, offering them the chance to connect with a variety of exhibitors, including Breyer Group. Attendees showcased their skills, explored new opportunities within Kingston and the construction sector, and took steps towards advancing their careers or collaborating with larger contractors. A huge thank you to all the exhibitors from the CSC and Kingston Council for their invaluable support in making this event a success. At Breyer, we’re excited to continue supporting the attendees and watching their journeys unfold. We’re proud to be supporting Kingston Council and their residents in creating meaningful opportunities for the community. 👏 Liz Obertelli MIEP Dean van Woerkom MCIOB Alex Vella William Sanders Ben How @Amanda McLoughlin Cameron King Ioanna Rossi Andrew Campion Christopher Selby Justin Hinkson Dr Sharon Young Gina Bowers Five Point Recruitment Helen Francis Neil Vandenberghe

  • Breyer Roofing Site Manager, Edward Hadley recently saved a baby’s life, thanks to some quick thinking and first aid training. Edward explained what happened: “The baby wasn’t breathing and the mother, of eastern European descent, was hysterical. We had a language barrier but luckily the shopkeeper nearby managed to translate that the baby had a diagnosed heart condition. “I am a qualified first aider, having taken a 3-day course, so I knew to check for a pulse and there was none. I began CPR using the child method, which involved laying him on my arm and gently pushing his chest. After what seemed a lifetime, the baby breathed and started to cry, reassuring me that he was ok. When the ambulance arrived, I advised paramedics of what I had done and they took over. They then took mother and baby to hospital. “When everything had calmed down and the paramedics took control of the situation, I removed myself and asked to be left alone for a few minutes. The First Choice scaffolding team were all praising the way I handled the situation but, if you’re trained, you don’t even think about it. You just step up and take control of the situation. When someone is at risk of losing their life, your actions aren’t going to cause any more problems, especially if you can save them.” Breyer Group provides mandatory First Aid Training for all Breyer managers. While moments like this are rare, being prepared through the right training can genuinely be the difference between life and death. #BreyerGroup #FirstAid #Training #HSE

  • Two new Community and Social Value Managers have now joined Breyer, highlighting the importance of Social Value to our clients and Breyer Group as a whole.   Glenn Harris is now responsible for developing and delivering community projects and social impact strategy for Breyer Roofing, while Jamie Clancy-Toomey is undertaking this significant role for Breyer Renew and Repair.   They will be supporting our Head of Community and Social Value, Liz Obertelli, as well as helping to grow appropriate internal and external stakeholder engagement, partnerships and programmes, so that we can continue to meet our contractual Social Value obligations. Liz commented on the appointments: “Social Value activities aren’t just a nice thing to do. We have contractual obligations to deliver additional value to the residents and communities where we work, with financial penalties if we don’t fulfill them. "Social Value isn’t rocket science but it does require strategic thinking, passion and energy, which Glenn and Jamie will bring to our teams. They will be working alongside our contracts managers to identify the most effective way to meet the Social Value targets set by our clients. This might mean delivering career talks at local schools or offering apprenticeships and work placements. Equally, it could involve developing an eco-friendly project or providing funds for much-needed resources. In every case, we are looking to meet the needs of the residents and communities where we work, not just tick a box where the client is concerned. "Social Value can make a really positive difference and, although it may take effort, it can also feel incredibly rewarding and worthwhile for everyone involved.” #BreyerGroup #SocialValue
