  • Back in August, Bridgeway Consulting Ltd carried out a tactile Detail Examination as part of our Eastern Region Examinations Contract for Network Rail. Roped access, a safety boat and small hand tools were used to carry out examination of King Edward Bridge, a 4-span underbridge located in Newcastle. • A step closer to a brighter, more sustainable future! The first Electric Vehicle charging points are now up and running at our head office in Nottingham. This milestone was made possible through a grant obtained via the Workplace Travel Service and in partnership with Nottingham City Council, supporting their ambition to be the first Carbon Neutral city in the UK by 2028.  Installing our first electric vehicle chargers reflects our unwavering commitment to reducing our carbon footprint through the decarbonisation of our fleet. We also aim to make it easier for our employees to adopt more sustainable commuting and travel practices. This year’s Travel Survey told us that 53% of our Nottingham employees currently commute by car. We believe that by providing electric charging facilities, we can encourage a transition towards greener travel options among our employees. In line with our Vision to Exceed Expectation Everywhere Safely and Sustainably, we are committed to transitioning to a sustainable and low carbon fleet as well as actively exploring initiatives that encourage the use of public transport for our employee’s daily commutes. Each steps moves us closer to achieving our Net Zero ambitions.
