I think he might be the best change agent I've ever met. He signals that change is needed with his adorable expression, creating a sense of urgency with gentle pats of his paw. Even after achieving his first success, usually a pâté-filled bone, he consistently encourages me to keep moving towards the refrigerator. Every time I comply, he rewards me with love and affection, then shows me what he wants next. It's clear that he has used his puppy insights to figure out how to get me involved in changing the status quo from no snacks to having plenty! A 2024 report from OC Tanner on Global Organisational Culture revealed that only 47% of UK leaders consider their employees when making business-wide changes. Additionally, just 44% of UK senior leaders seek employee opinions as changes are rolled out. Change is uncomfortable, and if it wasn't, you probably aren't stretching yourself enough. However, that doesn't mean participation can't be fun. So, how do we, as leaders of change, make the experience more enjoyable and collaborative for all? Maybe we can consider being a bit more like Monty. Small changes every day in the right direction can help us become comfortable with being uncomfortable. Happy Friday! 🐾
