As part of their Plan to Make Work Pay, the government intends to introduce mandatory ethnicity and disability pay gap reporting for organisations with over 250 employees, to tackle inequalities in the workplace. Although the methodology for ethnicity and disability pay gap reporting will broadly mirror that of gender pay gap reporting, the nature of these protected characteristics leads to multiple complexities that make accurate analysis all the more challenging.
