It's taken me a few days to look back and reflect on what was my 5th year attending Bristol Tech Festival but 1st as part of the techSPARK uk team. From mind-blowing innovations to thought-provoking talks and hands-on workshops, #BTF2024 truly showcased the best of tech and creativity right here in Bristol. It was amazing to connect with so many passionate industry leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts shaping the future of technology! Our small team really pack a punch in connection and collaboration and with a few new team members it really feels like we are creating so much impact. To round off the week, I took on the small project of leading on the Health & Life Sciences Summit at City Hall. An incredible day, where we heard from Lord Patrick Vallance Louis Taylor Rt Hon Darren Jones MP Penny Dash Sir Richard Olver, and something I am really proud of an all female line up of industry leaders including Michele Barbour Michelle Law Angela Osborne Natasha Swinscoe. The day was inspiring, action orientated and even included the announcement of a new £300m investment vehicle for the region. So, all in all a hugely successful week - and I've already started making plans for next year's Bristol Tech Festival Thanks again to our incredible partners who help bring the vision to life, and my network for always being my biggest cheerleaders! Today we are looking back at our panel on Digital Modeling and Prediction: Could we do more? held last week as a part of Bristol Tech Festival. Our CSO, Mark Woods said “I had the pleasure of chairing an incredible session at the Bristol Tech Festival where we discussed how digital modelling and predictive tools could do more to solve society’s hyper-complex challenges and where engineering could do better with adoption. We had some fantastic insights from our panellists Chris Toomer, Bill Murray, and Chris Shrubshall, as well as some great questions from the audience.” See the infographic below for our key takeaways from the event.
